  • Publication number: 20160011505
Abstract: Stabilized precursor solutions can be used to form radiation inorganic coating materials. The precursor solutions generally comprise metal suboxide cations, peroxide-based ligands and polyatomic anions. Design of the precursor solutions can be performed to achieve a high level of stability of the precursor solutions. The resulting coating materials can be designed for patterning with a selected radiation, such as ultraviolet light, x-ray radiation or electron beam radiation. The radiation patterned coating material can have a high contrast with respect to material properties, such that development of a latent image can be successful to form lines with very low line-width roughness and adjacent structures with a very small pitch.

  • Publication number: 20160014279
Abstract: A system and method for managing group-based charging for network usage and spending. A server computing device that includes an offline charging system (OFCS) component may be configured to receive a communication message that includes a first attribute, determine/identify a group of user equipments that includes a first user equipment device that is associated with the received communication message, and determine a charging attribute state for the determined group of user equipments based on the first attribute and a second attribute associated with a second user equipment device in the group of user equipments. The server may apply a charging event, determine whether the charging attribute state of the group of user equipments changed as a result of applying the charging event, and notifying a listener component of a new charging attribute state in response to determining that the charging attribute state of the group of user equipments changed.

  • Publication number: 20160008504
Abstract: A fragrance delivery element may be configured to generate one or more vortices as air flows therethrough. The fragrance delivery element may include one or more airflow apertures, each of which may be configured to receive airflow and convert the airflow to a vortex. As air flows through each airflow aperture and past the fragrance delivery element, fragrance is emitted into the air. Emission of the fragrance may occur without heating the fragrance delivery element or the fragrance. • Publication number: 20160012218
Abstract: An iris biometric recognition module includes technology for capturing images of an iris of an eye of a person, whether the person is moving or stationary. The iris biometric recognition technology can perform an iris matching procedure for, e.g., authentication or identity purposes, by comparing a digital iris image to a reference iris image and, if the digital and reference iris images match, transition an object from a locked to an unlocked state to allow access to the object.

  • Publication number: 20160012009
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product are disclosed for recovery in a virtualized environment using remote direct memory access (RDMA). In one embodiment, the method comprises operating a virtual computer system on a physical computer system, and the virtual system maintains in a memory area a record of a state of the virtual system. In this method, when defined error conditions occur on the virtual system, RDMA is used to pull the record of the state of the virtual system from that memory area onto a standby computer. This record on the standby computer is used to re-initialize the virtual computer. Embodiments of the invention provide methods that provide a very fast recovery from a virtual machine fault or error, while requiring much fewer resources than standard approaches. In embodiments of the invention, one spare real computer system can be used for backing up several virtual systems.

  • Publication number: 20160012813
Abstract: A system and method for acoustic management that includes improving the sound quality of two or more audio processing modules in an acoustic environment may receive first control parameters from a first audio processing module. Receiving second control parameters from a second audio processing module. An audio processing interaction may be derived between with the first audio processing module and the second audio processing module determined from the first control parameters and the second control parameters. The first control parameters and the second control parameters may be modified responsive to the derived audio processing interaction.

  • Publication number: 20160014540
Abstract: A soundbar is described which includes a camera. The camera can be used to capture images of a listener as speakers of the soundbar output audio content to the listener. The captured images can be analysed to determine at least one characteristic of the listener (e.g. the age or gender of the listener). In one example, when the soundbar has determined a characteristic of the listener, the audio content outputted to the listener may be controlled based on the characteristic. In other examples, the images of the listener captured by the camera may be used to detect a response of the listener to media content which includes the audio content outputted from the soundbar. This response information may be combined with an indication of the characteristic of the listener in order to gather information relating to how different types of listeners respond to particular media content.

  • Publication number: 20160014461
Abstract: This application describes methods, systems, and apparatus for allowing a user to easily determine whether the user and/or other user(s) have viewed content. For example, a program guide may display one or more graphics associated with the content (e.g., a movie poster), and in response to determining whether the user has viewed the content, the program guide may include an indication of whether the user has viewed the content. The program guide may include indications associated with multiple users (e.g., different colors, icons, graphics, or text). The program guide may filter the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., only display content the user has not viewed). A computing device storing the content may manage recording of the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., delete the recording if the user has viewed the content). A viewing history of the user may be maintained.

  • Publication number: 20160009093
Abstract: A non-woven textile constructed using splitable staple fibers is usable in lithographic and inkjet printer machine cleaning applications. The use of the splitable staple fiber non-woven in a lithographic printing machine provides improved removal and containment of waste inks, fluids, and paper dust within the printer machine. The use of the splitable staple fiber non-woven in an inkjet printing machine also provides removal of ambient particulate such as human hair or other particulate foreign to the printer machine contained within the printer machine. The cleaning ability of the non-woven textile is a function of several properties including the large amount of available fiber surface area per area of non-woven, the surface uniformity, the fibers' microscopic sharp edges, the capillary force, and the mechanical toughness provided by the highly entangled split staple fine denier fibers which make up the splitable staple fiber non-woven.
