  • Publication number: 20220213699
Abstract: A wide-format tile shim includes a shim body, a plurality of length grooves, a plurality of width grooves, and a plurality of openings. The plurality of length grooves is evenly distributed along the shim body and traverses into the shim body. The plurality of width grooves is evenly distributed across the shim body and traverses into the shim body. Each of the plurality of length grooves is positioned perpendicular to each of the plurality of width grooves as the plurality of openings traverses from a front surface of the shim body to a rear surface of the shim body. Each of the plurality of opening is positioned adjacent to an intersecting length groove from the plurality of length grooves and an intersecting width groove from the plurality of width grooves thus evenly spacing the plurality of opening within the shim body.

  • Patent number: 11110338
Abstract: Presented is one embodiment of a telemark-capable ski binding system which combines the conventional tech style toe piece or front coupling with a telemark tension assembly (110) that provides the necessary rotational resistance to a ski boot (300) but still allows the ski boot heel to be raised for a telemark style turn upon descent. Telemark tension assembly (110) can be adjusted to alter the engagement of telemark tension assembly (110) according to user preference and conditions for descent. Telemark tension assembly (110) can also be loosened to the point that adjustable restraint (112) can be rotated forward and rest unengaged in front of ski boot (300) for free rotation in toe coupling (100) during ascent or touring. This embodiment provides a lightweight telemark ski binding system that has improved resistance to undesirable snow gathering. Other embodiments are described that have adjustability features and alpine descent mode.

  • Patent number: 10810931
Abstract: A discrete LED display control includes a method of scaling the brightness of frames of an image according to corresponding electrical current requirements. The method includes opening an electronic file containing a frame of an image to be shown on the display and measuring a commanded brightness for each pixel of the frame of the image. Brightness values of the commanded brightnesses are summed and converted to corresponding current values. The corresponding current values are adjusted to arrive at a total estimated current for the frame of the image. If the total estimated current exceeds a current limit of the display, the brightness value of each pixel is scaled to a final brightness value. The final brightness value corresponds to an adjusted current that is within the current limit. The adjusted current that corresponds to the final brightness value is sent to the display.
