  • Patent number: 6827613
Abstract: For use in already known plug connections, an electrical contact element is proposed that can be formed as a socket contact or as a pin contact and is provided with a plug region and a terminal end, a sleeve being capable of being screwed onto the terminal end of the contact element. The sleeve has inwardly directed spring arms that enter into a conical bore in the terminal end. Positioned between said spring arms is an electrical conductor, the spring arm tips exerting a force-locking wedge action on the electrical conductor to an ever greater extent, the further the sleeve is screwed onto the terminal end.

  • Patent number: 6752667
Abstract: For connection elements, which are designed as pin contacts or contact tubes and disposed in an insulating housing, for the electrical contacting of the respective connection ends with an electrical conductor having a plurality of strands it is proposed to provide the connection ends with a structure, which is shaped in a saw-tooth-like manner and is surrounded by a slotted sleeve, wherein into the slot of the latter a wedge element is insertable so that, in the open state of the sleeve, the strands are insertable into the gap between saw-tooth contour and sleeve and, when the wedge element is removed, the strands are pressed into the saw-tooth contour by the resiliently designed sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6716041
Abstract: For connecting the cable shielding in screened electric cables in the case of a round plug connection, it is proposed that, for the purpose of making contact with the cable shield, a contact element is provided which is disposed between an insulating pressing/clamping part and an insulating body, an aperture through which the cable shield can be introduced being provided in the said contact element. Under these circumstances, the contact element is shaped in such a way that connection of the cable shield to a counterplug can take place by means of a contact part which is to be provided inside the plug connector housing, or by means of the electrically conductive outer cover of the plug connector, or via both methods.

  • Patent number: 6712640
Abstract: For a connection between two multiple electrical conductors, a connecting arrangement is proposed which consists of a casing that can be disassembled in such a way that even a multiple electrical conductor that has already been laid, for example a round cable, can be connected to additional electrical conductors at any desired point. Under these circumstances, electrical contact with the individual electrical conductors of the multiple conductor that has been laid is made by means of insulation-cutting terminals disposed in the said casing in which an eccentric, which is likewise disposed therein in a rotatable manner, successively forces the electrical conductors, without great expenditure of force, into the insulation-cutting terminals disposed in the form of a circle around the eccentric, and brings them into electrical contact with the severing of the insulation.

  • Patent number: 6210239
Abstract: For a contact element with a screw-type terminal for electric conductors, wherein the contact element comprises a conductor connection part provided with a bore, into which the conductor is insertable and clampable by means of a screw insertable at right angles to the bore and/or conductor into a threaded bore in the conductor connection part, and wherein between the end of the screw directed towards the conductor and the conductor a wire protection plate is provided in the bore, it is proposed to make the wire protection plate substantially L-shaped, an angled foot thereby being formed, to insert the wire protection plate into the bore in such a way that the foot is situated at the base of the bore, and to provide the foot with lateral, barb-like mouldings which, upon insertion of the wire protection plate, dig into the wall of the bore.

  • Patent number: 6004162
Abstract: For a holding frame for holding plug connector modules and for installation in plug connector casings or for screwing onto wall surfaces, the plug connector modules being inserted in the holding frame and holding means on the plug connector modules interacting with recesses provided on opposite wall parts (side parts) of the holding frame, it is proposed that the holding frame be constructed from two halves connected to one another in an articulated manner and that the recesses for holding the plug connector modules be constructed, in the side parts of the holding frame, as openings which are closed all round. Under these circumstances, the holding frame is unfolded for the purpose of inserting the plug connector modules and is then closed, the plug connector modules then being held in a form-locking manner in the holding frame via the holding means.

  • Patent number: 5658162
Abstract: For an electric plug and socket connection with one or two locking shackles, which can be pivoted about bearing studs of the one half of the plug and socket connection, locking elements, disposed on the side parts of the plug and socket connection, overlapping, in the locked position of the plug and socket connection, locking studs disposed on the other half of the plug and socket connection, it is proposed that pockets be provided in the side parts and spring elements be inserted in these pockets, which spring elements act on the locking elements, or that tiltable locking elements be provided at the spring elements.

  • Patent number: 5318457
Abstract: For an electrical plug and socket connection with housing halves that can be locked together, for which a sleeve, which can be shifted in the longitudinal direction of the housing halves, is provided for cancelling the locking, it is proposed that the locking elements be constructed as latches, which grip behind the locking shoulder at the one half of the housing in order to lock the two halves of the housing together. For this purpose, the latches are provided with an inclined surface, which is acted upon by an edge of the sleeve to unlock the connection. When tension is applied to the sleeve in a direction opposite to the plug-in direction, the edge of the sleeve presses the latches out of the locking position.
