  • Patent number: 11981020
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for delivery vehicles and containers for en route food product preparation. Modular food product preparation systems that may receive food items and supplies and prepare food product(s) en route such that the food product(s) is prepared by the time the system reaches a delivery destination may include trucks, railway cars, watercraft, and similar vehicles. Food preparation process steps and timing may be determined based on travel information (e.g., delivery destination, routes, etc.), as well as, food item and food product information. An on-board controller may determine the process steps and timing(s) and control operations of robotic devices arranged modularly in a container or vehicle to execute steps of the food preparation process. Alternatively or additionally, the on-board controller may receive instructions from a remote controller. Travel parameters of the vehicle may also be adjusted based on the food preparation process and/or travel information.

  • Publication number: 20240118495
Abstract: In one embodiment, a coupler includes a glass tube having a refractive index n3 and a passageway, a first optical waveguide and a second optical waveguide positioned within the passageway, each of the first optical waveguide and the second optical waveguide comprising a core surrounded by a cladding. The glass tube further includes a tapered region having a taper length. A coupling region is present between the first optical waveguide and the second optical waveguide within the tapered region. A refractive index of the cladding is less than a refractive index of the core, and a lowest refractive index of the cladding of the first optical waveguide and the second optical waveguide is n2. Additionally, n3 is lower than n2 such that a value of ?2-3 is 0.07%??2-3?0.125, where ?2-3 equals (n22?n32)/2n22.

  • Patent number: 11914621
Abstract: An association metric for record attributes associated with cardinalities that are not necessarily the same is used for training and/or applying an entity resolution (ER) model. A pair of records includes (a) a first record indicating a first set of values for a first attribute and (b) a second record indicating a second set of values for a second attribute. Each of the first set of values and each of the second set of values are compared to determine individual association metrics. A first-level reduction operation is applied to subsets of the individual association metrics to determine reduced association metrics. A second-level reduction operation is applied to the reduced association metrics to determine an association metric, for the pair of records, for training and/or applying an ER model.

  • Publication number: 20200357507
Abstract: Techniques for generating and presenting graph data structures representing patient visit paths and physician referral networks are disclosed. A system generates one or more graph data structures representing one or more referred visit paths and/or inferred visit paths. Based on the graph data structures representing the visit paths, the system generates another graph data structure representing a physician network. A user interface presents a graph representing the physician network. Based on the presented graph, a user may thereby determine influential levels of different physicians for referring one or more patients to a particular physician.

  • Patent number: 9545231
Abstract: A method and imaging system for operating imaging computed tomography using at least one radiation source and at least one detector to generate an image of an object. The method includes: defining desired image characteristics; and performing calculations to determine the pattern of fluence to be applied by the at least one radiation source, to generate said desired image quality or characteristics. Then, the at least one radiation source is modulated, to generate the intended pattern of fluence between the beam source and the object to be imaged. The desired image characteristics can provide at least one of: desired image quality in at least one defined region of interest; and at least one desired distribution of said image quality.
