Said thermoplastic polymer undergoes an in-situ phase separation process during cure to form a microphase separated multiphase thermoset material.

    Abstract: A three dimensional packaging architecture for ultimate high performance computers and methods for fabricating thereof are described. The package allows very dense packaging of multiple integrated circuit chips for minimum communication distances and maximum clock speeds of the computer. The packaging structure is formed from a plurality of subassemblies. Each subassembly is formed from a substrate which has on at least one side thereof at least one integrated circuit device. Between adjacent subassemblies there is disposed a second substrate. There are electrical interconnection means to electrically interconnect contact locations on the subassembly to contact locations on the second substrate. The electrical interconnection means can be solder mounds, wire bonds and the like. The first substrate provides electrical signal intercommunication between the electronic devices and each subassembly. The second substrate provides ground and power distribution to the plurality of subassemblies.

    Abstract: A continuous process for the fabrication of metal clad, laminated core structures, such as circuit board cores, wherein the copper layers on the laminate are used to form a waveguide which propagates microwave or RF radiation in TEM mode down the length of the structure for heating the core layers while the necessary pressure is applied. The TEM mode offers substantial advantages in the uniformity and control of processing in this environment. In particular, the system may be made tunable using the positioning or two pinch points, produced by rollers applying pressure to consolidate the layered material, which points create end chokes defining a heating and pressure region wherein the radiation is reflected. Alternatively, the metal layers may also be used as capacitor-like plates for applying RF energy across the layered material.

The solvent is free of ethers, amines, ammonia. The composition is prepared by reacting a metal with an organic compound selected from the group consisting of polyaryl compounds, aromatic carbonyl containing compounds, aromatic nitriles, and aromatic heterocyclic nitrogen containing compounds in a reaction solvent that does not react with the metal but permits reaction between the metal and the organic compound to thereby provide the reducing agent. The reducing agent is isolated from the reaction solvent to obtain a reaction product as a solid. The reaction product is added to the aprotic solvent.
