  • Publication number: 20240302956
Abstract: An electronic device includes a user interface configured to display content and receive user input. One or more processors operable with the user interface cause the user interface to display a virtual keyboard that includes a first section having a first plurality of virtual keys corresponding to a plurality of alphabetic characters and a second section having a second plurality of virtual keys corresponding to a plurality of special characters. The first section and the second section are separated by a translatable slider. The translatable slider can be manipulated, manually or automatically, to increase the area occupied by the first section, thereby revealing more virtual keys corresponding to more alphabetic characters, or alternatively to increase the area occupied by the second section to reveal more virtual keys corresponding to more special characters.

  • Patent number: 12087555
Abstract: Implementations disclosed herein generally relate to systems and methods of protecting a substrate support in a process chamber from cleaning fluid during a cleaning process. The method of cleaning the process chamber includes positioning in the process chamber a cover substrate above a substrate support and a process kit that separates a purge volume from a process volume. The method of cleaning includes flowing a purge gas in the purge volume to protect the substrate support and flowing a cleaning fluid to a process volume above the cover substrate, flowing the cleaning fluid in the process volume to an outer flow path, and to an exhaust outlet in the chamber body. The purge volume is maintained at a positive pressure with respect to the process volume to block the cleaning fluid from the purge volume.

  • Patent number: 12081907
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method avoids presenting certain objects during a video communication session. During a video communication session with second electronic device(s), a controller of an electronic device identifies baseline image(s) from an image stream provided by an image capturing device of the electronic device. The baseline image includes a primary image portion of participant(s) and including a scene of objects within the foreground or background of participant (s), during an initial portion of the video communication session. The controller monitors the image stream for a subsequent detection of the primary image portion and of non-participant(s) or object(s) as a secondary image portion that is not included within the baseline image(s).

  • Patent number: 12079639
Abstract: A device property control system determines whether a current user of a device is an owner of the device, a trusted secondary user of the device, or an untrusted secondary user of the device. The system maintains device property values for the owner as well as each trusted secondary user of the device. When the current user of the device changes, the system determines whether the current user is the owner or a trusted secondary user and if so changes the device property values to those previously used by the owner or one of the trusted secondary users (whichever is the current user of the device). However, if the current user is an untrusted secondary user, the device property control system changes the device property values to demonstration mode device property values that are expected to best demonstrate the capabilities of the device.

  • Publication number: 20240292264
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. For example, when a modem of a user equipment (UE) receives a burst of reset (RST) packets from an application processor, the modem may send only one RST packet and prune the remaining RST packets in the RST packet burst, or may send only one RST packet in a time period in cases where the RST packet burst is associated with a closed TCP connection and/or a TCP connection for which an RST packet has already been sent to a network node. Additionally or alternatively, the modem may inform the application processor to prune RST packets associated with the closed TCP connections and/or the TCP connections for which an RST packet has already been sent. Furthermore, similar techniques may be applied at the network node to avoid sending downlink traffic that is likely to result in uplink RST traffic.

  • Patent number: 12073519
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with a spherical background image that maintains orientation like a natural background as an image capturing device changes location or aim direction. The method includes determining a stationary orientation of a spherical background image in a virtual space geospatially aligned with a first physical location of an image capturing device. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream of the field of view captured by the image capturing device. The method includes generating a composite image stream of a foreground image, which is extracted from an image stream from the image capturing device, superimposed on the spherical background image. In response to movement, the method includes updating a virtual orientation and/or a virtual location of the spherical background image to remain geospatially aligned with the first physical location.

  • Publication number: 20240281403
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure may relate to apparatus, process, or techniques in a I3C protocol environment that include identifying a pending read notification message by a slave device to be sent to a master device to indicate that the data is available to be read by the master device from a buffer associated with the slave device. The pending read notification may be subsequently transmitted to the master device. Subsequently, until the data in the buffer has been read by the master device, the slave device may wait an identified amount of time that is less than a value of a timeout of the master device, and retransmit the pending read notification message to the master device. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Publication number: 20240283893
Abstract: In aspects of controlling display of content based on screen sharing in a video conference session, a video conference session is determined to be active on a computing device in a screen sharing mode. In the screen sharing mode, a user of a computing device shares content displayed on a display screen associated with the computing device with a remote user connected to the video conference session via a remote device. The remote user is then detected as having entered the screen sharing mode on the remote device, which causes the screen sharing mode to end on the computing device. Then, the remote user is detected as having ended the screen sharing mode on the remote device. In response to the screen sharing mode ending on the remote device, a prompt is displayed on the display screen that is selectable to resume the screen sharing mode on the computing device.

  • Patent number: 12069395
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method are provided that automatically focus on meaningful content in an image stream during an instruction-oriented video communication session. The electronic device communicatively connects the electronic device via a network to second electronic device(s) during a video communication session. A controller of the electronic device identifies a person and a writing surface within an image stream from a local image capturing device. In response to determining that the person is attending to the writing surface, the controller communicates to a video communication session a first portion of the image stream that focusses on the writing surface. In response to determining that the person is not attending to the writing surface, the controller communicates to the video communication session via the at least one network interface, a second portion of the image stream that does not focus on the writing surface.
