  • Patent number: 10448140
Abstract: Disclosed is a signal processor for headphone off-ear detection. The signal processor includes an audio output to transmit an audio signal toward a headphone speaker in a headphone cup. The signal processor also includes a feedback (FB) microphone input to receive a FB signal from a FB microphone in the headphone cup. The signal processor also includes an off-ear detection (OED) signal processor to determine an audio frequency response of the FB signal over an OED frame as a received frequency response. The OED processor also determines an audio frequency response of the audio signal times an off-ear transfer function between the headphone speaker and the FB microphone as an ideal off-ear response. A difference metric si generated comparing the received frequency response to the ideal off-ear frequency response. The difference metric is employed to detect when the headphone cup is disengaged from an ear.

  • Publication number: 20190311054
Abstract: The system and method described herein provide an order fulfillment database system. The order fulfillment database system may provide a high throughput speed, high availability, redundancy, and scalability. The order fulfillment database system supports very fast transaction times for atomicity, consistency, isolation, and durability (ACID) transactions. Order services instances at a primary cluster provide in-memory databases that service segments of the persistent database and are associated with different order fulfillment entities. A routing manager routes database messages to the appropriate order services instance. A secondary cluster of order services instances provides redundancy. A retry procedure preserves the integrity of the database transactions based on a current operational state of the primary order services instances.

  • Patent number: 10438860
Abstract: The implementations described herein generally relate to steps for the dynamic, real-time control of the process spacing between a substrate support and a gas distribution medium during a deposition process. Multiple dimensional degrees of freedom are utilized to change the angle and spacing of a substrate plane with respect to the gas distributing medium at any time during the deposition process. As such, the substrate and/or substrate support may be leveled, tilted, swiveled, wobbled, and/or moved during the deposition process to achieve improved film uniformity. Furthermore, the independent tuning of each layer may be had due to continuous variations in the leveling of the substrate plane with respect to the showerhead to average effective deposition on the substrate, thus improving overall stack deposition performance.

  • Publication number: 20190305794
Abstract: A delta-sigma modulator architecture with idle tone suppression based on injecting an out-of-band signal includes: modulator input circuitry to provide a modulator input signal; modulator loop circuitry to quantize the modulator input signal to generate a modulator output signal at an oversampling frequency, and to provide a feedback signal. Digital filtering circuitry filters the modulator output signal to provide a digital output signal at a data rate frequency related to the oversampling frequency by a defined oversampling ratio. Out-of-band (OoB) signal generator circuitry injects a deterministic OoB injection signal at a defined OoB frequency outside of a target frequency band. The modulator input circuitry combines the analog input signal, the feedback signal, and the OoB injection signal into the modulator input signal. The digital filtering circuitry filters the OoB injection signal. The OoB injection signal can be selectively defined to suppress idle tones generated in the modulator loop circuitry.
