  • Publication number: 20180174299
Abstract: Techniques for providing an accurate auto-crop feature for images captured by an image capture device may be described herein. For example, one or more image masks for a color image captured by an image capture device may be received by a computer system. Metadata about the color image that identifies portions of the image as foreground and the color image itself may also be received by the computer system. Further, a representation of a user and a floor region associated with a user may be extracted from the color image using the one or more image masks and the metadata. A first area of the color image may be cropped with respect to the extracted representation of the user and the floor region associated with the user to generate a second area of the color image. In embodiments, a third area of the color image may be obscured based on the received metadata.

  • Patent number: 9992343
Abstract: Various embodiments provide real-time translation of a voicemail into a readable format as the voicemail is being recorded. In some cases, a system server records the voicemail by first answering a call from an originating device that goes unanswered by a destination device. Upon answering the call, the system server translates the recording, while it is being recorded, into a readable format. Alternately or additionally, the system server forwards portions of the readable format to the destination device. In turn, as the destination device receives portion(s) of the real-time translation, it can display the associated content, and/or update what is displayed as new portions are received. At times, the destination device provides additional call control that interrupts the voicemail while it is being recorded at the system server, and redirects the call to the destination device if the originating device is still connected.

  • Patent number: 9984338
Abstract: Systems and methods for e-commerce customer support activities are provided via an analytics server, which provides real-time information concerning customer visits to an e-commerce Web site to a merchant that operates the Web site, for example via a dashboard or other user interface. The real-time information allows the merchant to monitor and optionally interact with customers visiting the Web site, for example by viewing requests for customer service and providing real-time customer service via interactive user interfaces. Real-time telemetry concerning the customer visits is provided to the analytics server, which then presents the information in meaningful fashions via the dashboard or user interfaces for review by the merchant. Merchant responses to the information is facilitated via analytics engines, customer support engines, rule engines, deal engines, recommendation engines, and other components, which may operate according to customized rule sets to implement specific customer support policies.

  • Patent number: 9979411
Abstract: An exemplary circuit includes a tracking circuit, a current estimator, a switch control logic, and a switching load circuit. The tracking circuit tracks a digital output signal of a delta-sigma modulator (DSM) and provides a tracking signal representing an average of the digital output signal during a time period. The current estimator determines an amount of loading to be applied to positive and negative reference voltages based on the tracking signal. The switching load circuit is coupled to positive and negative reference voltages of the DSM, the switching load circuit connects a selected amount of loading to the positive and negative reference voltages in response to a control signal to balance a reference load current applied to the DSM. The switch control logic provides the control signal to the switching load circuit based on the determined amount of loading to be applied to the positive and negative reference voltages.

  • Patent number: 9980034
Abstract: Disclosed is a signal processor for headphone off-ear detection. The signal processor includes an audio output to transmit an audio signal toward a headphone speaker in a headphone cup. The signal processor also includes a feedback (FB) microphone input to receive a FB signal from a FB microphone in the headphone cup. The signal processor also includes an off-ear detection (OED) signal processor to determine an audio frequency response of the FB signal over an OED frame as a received frequency response. The OED processor also determines an audio frequency response of the audio signal times an off-ear transfer function between the headphone speaker and the FB microphone as an ideal off-ear response. A difference metric si generated comparing the received frequency response to the ideal off-ear frequency response. The difference metric is employed to detect when the headphone cup is disengaged from an ear.

  • Patent number: 9971710
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to optimizing data transfers between heterogeneous memory arenas. In one scenario, a computer system receives an indication that a data chunk is to be transferred from a first memory arena to a third memory arena, and then determines that for the data chunk to be transferred from the first memory arena to the third arena, the data chunk is to be transferred from the first memory arena to a second memory arena, and from the second memory arena to the third memory arena. The computer system divides the data chunk into smaller data portions and copies a first data portion from the first memory arena to the second memory arena. The computer system then copies the first data portion from the second memory arena to the third memory arena and copies a second data portion from the first memory arena to the second memory arena in parallel.
