Abstract: A camera invocation gesture to access a first camera on a mobile device is received by the mobile device. Responsive to receiving the camera invocation gesture, a second camera on the mobile device is utilized to ascertain a context associated with whether a user likely intends to take a picture. If the mobile device ascertains that the user likely intends to take a picture, the mobile device can be placed in an operational picture mode in which pictures can be or can continue to be taken and saved on the mobile device. If the mobile device ascertains, from the context associated with the second camera, that the user likely does not intend to take a picture, then any pictures that are or were taken can be saved and the user can be prompted as to whether they wish to delete the pictures.

Abstract: A method and system for facilitating, via a first device, an electronic financial transaction with a second device having limited network connectivity. The method includes the first device detecting initiation of a financial transaction with the second device. The financial transaction is remotely processed by a transaction service. The method further includes facilitating an establishment of a data pipe that directly connects the first device and the second device to enable the second device to exchange transaction data with the transaction service, via the first device operating as an intermediary device. In response to the data pipe being established, the first device routes, via the primary connection to the transaction service, all transaction data received from the second device over the data pipe.

Abstract: A middleware device opens, based on an assistance call from a mobile device, a first leg of a websocket with a system associated with a call center customer representative, and sends a SMS text message to the mobile device that includes a first authentication token. The middleware device receives, while attempting to establish a second leg of the websocket between the first middleware device and the mobile device, a second authentication token from the mobile device, authenticates the mobile device based on the second authentication token, and opens the second leg of the websocket between the middleware device and the mobile device based on whether the authentication is successful. The middleware device receives a captured display screen from the mobile device via the second leg of the websocket, and sends the captured display screen to the system associated with the customer representative via the first leg of the websocket.

The electronic device is further configured to temporarily make one or more contacts for the set of individuals preferred contacts while traveling and to enable a limited-interruption mode on the electronic device while traveling, wherein an audible alert on the electronic device is enabled for preferred contacts and disabled for non-preferred contacts while the limited-interruption mode is enabled.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a clock channel to receive and distribute a clock signal to a plurality of data channels. At least some of the data channels may include: a first sampler to sample data; a second sampler to sample the data; and a deskew calibration circuit to receive first sampled data from the first sampler and second sampled data from the second sampler and generate a local calibration signal for use in the corresponding data channel. The apparatus may further include a global deskew calibration circuit to receive the clock signal from the clock channel, receive the first sampled data and the second sampled data from the plurality of data channels, and generate a global calibration signal for provision to the plurality of data channels. Abstract: Systems and methods process files on an electronic device to enable context-based sharing of the files associated with an event, and to ease and simplify the user experience. According to certain aspects, an electronic communication including a request to share files may be parsed for keywords related to an event. Files stored on the electronic device may be processed to determine whether the files are associated with the event, based on the keywords. Files that are determined to be associated with the event may be processed to enable context-based sharing, such as by associating an event-specific sharing option, adding metadata, or displaying the associated files. Increased collaboration and participation by users to share files associated with an event may result through the use of these systems and methods.

Abstract: A mounting mat for an exhaust gas treatment device includes a wet laid sheet of polycrystalline inorganic fibers that have been physically entangled while the wet laid sheet is still in a wet condition. The exhaust gas treatment device includes a housing, a fragile catalyst support structure resiliently mounted within the housing, and the mounting mat disposed in a gap between the housing and the fragile structure. Additionally disclosed are methods of making a mounting mat for an exhaust gas treatment device and for making an exhaust gas treatment device incorporating the mounting mat.

Abstract: A system and method for selecting portions of video data from preview video data is provided. The system may extract image features from the preview video data and discard video frames associated with poor image quality based on the image features. The system may determine similarity scores between individual video frames and corresponding transition costs and may identify transition points in the preview video data based on the similarity scores and/or transition costs. The system may select portions of the video data for further processing based on the transition points and the image features. By selecting portions of the video data, the system may reduce a bandwidth consumption, processing burden and/or latency associated with uploading the video data or performing further processing.

Abstract: A method of processing a substrate according to a PECVD process is described. Temperature profile of the substrate is adjusted to change deposition rate profile across the substrate. Plasma density profile is adjusted to change deposition rate profile across the substrate. Chamber surfaces exposed to the plasma are heated to improve plasma density uniformity and reduce formation of low quality deposits on chamber surfaces. In situ metrology may be used to monitor progress of a deposition process and trigger control actions involving substrate temperature profile, plasma density profile, pressure, temperature, and flow of reactants.
