  • Patent number: 9129238
Abstract: A Dynamic Web Service server may facilitate custom Enterprise Application interface development with little or no developer input by dynamically creating a web service for performing a particular transaction according to a transaction map. An Enterprise Application client device may create a transaction map by “recording” a transaction between an Enterprise Application client and an Enterprise Application server and mapping transaction fields to a custom interface generated to collect data for re-performing the recorded transaction. The Enterprise Application client device may call the dynamic web service, and the Dynamic Web Service server may then perform the recorded transaction using input data collected in the custom interface. Such a dynamic web service may be performed as part of an automated business process managed by a workflow server.

  • Patent number: 9100489
Abstract: An aspect of the present invention facilitates formation of groups using missed calls. In an embodiment, upon receipt of a first missed call to a pre-specified number from a first user, a missed call server allocates a first phone number to a new group. Upon receiving missed calls to such allocated number, the corresponding callers (i.e., the phone numbers of the callers) are added to the group. According to another aspect of the present invention, different phone numbers are allocated for different groups, and the members are added in each group, in response to missed calls to the corresponding numbers. Additional management tasks such as provide group owner the ability to approve/reject the addition/removal requests, formation of sub-groups, etc., are also facilitated based on missed calls.

  • Publication number: 20150187378
Abstract: A method is provided for characterizing the peg region of a near-field transducer incorporated into a write head of a HAMR magnetic recorder. The method includes providing excitation radiation to one or more near-field transducers. The near-field transducers include an enlarged disk region and a peg region at least partially in contact with the enlarged disk region. The method further includes filtering output radiation from the near-field transducers by passing a portion of photoluminescent radiation emitted by the near-field transducers in response to the excitation radiation and substantially blocking the excitation radiation transmitted by the near-field transducers. The method also includes detecting the portion of photoluminescent radiation and characterizing the peg region of at least one of the plurality of near-field transducers.

  • Publication number: 20150109408
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and method for capturing and rendering a landscape image such that the field of view of the captured image remains consistent across any orientation maintained by the camera device at the time the image is captured. The retained field of view corresponds to the maximum landscape field of view achievable from the aspect ratio of the image when captured by the device, when the device is positioned in portrait orientation. Thus, the field of view of a landscape image captured when the camera device is positioned in landscape orientation is identical to the field of view of a landscape image captured when the device is positioned in portrait orientation. Furthermore, the system and method provide for a consistent field of view at the time of playback regardless of whether the captured image is displayed on a device having a portrait or landscape display orientation.

  • Patent number: 8990227
Abstract: Techniques for providing a consolidated view of directory changes across different directory servers. In one set of embodiments, a changelog record can be received from a directory server, where the directory server is associated with a proprietary changelog format, and where the changelog record is formatted according to the proprietary changelog format. The received changelog record can then be translated into a virtualized changelog record that is formatted according to a standard changelog format, and the virtualized changelog record can be sent to a consuming client. In a further set of embodiments, a “changelog cookie” can be generated for a virtualized changelog record prior to sending the record to a client. In various embodiments, the changelog cookie can act as a globally unique identifier—i.e., an identifier that distinguishes the virtualized changelog record from other virtualized changelog records.

  • Publication number: 20150036137
Abstract: Alignment of a near field transducer (NFT) optical input coupler and a light emitting device involves providing excitation radiation from an excitation light source through an optical input coupler to the NFT and filtering output radiation from the NFT using a short wavelength pass optical filter. The optical input coupler is scanned through multiple positions while the photoluminescent radiation is detected. A first alignment position between the NFT input coupler and the excitation light source is identified based on the detected photoluminescent radiation. A light emitting device is scanned through multiple positions the light output is detected by a detector. A second alignment position between the light emitting device and the detector is identified. The first and second alignment positions are used to align the light emitting device with the optical input coupler.

  • Publication number: 20140266984
Abstract: Computerized systems distribute storage and analytical tasks between multiple storage devices and processors to analyze large amounts of automotive data. Reception of huge amounts of fine automotive data from large amounts of users and delivery of real-time and predictive analysis of the data can be handled across a distributed architecture. Configured storage devices can retain a universe of all reported/collected automotive data and advanced analytics can be performed on the data, before and after storage. The analyses can include real-time data extraction, batch-type complex predictive analysis, data management, machine learning on useful analytics, etc. The large and real-time data input may not interfere with analysis on the universe of accumulated data, permitting users and/or third-parties to readily access results of such analyses in real-time. Entry of automotive data and delivery of automotive analysis are conducted through unobtrusive delivery systems including attendant devices.
