  • Patent number: 9467880
Abstract: Small cell discovery signals are transmitted within a subframe allocated for transmission of Device-to-Device (D2D) discovery signals. In accordance with a communication standard, communication resources are organized into frames having subframes for communication within a cellular communication system. Wireless service is provided to mobile UE devices in different sized cells that may overlap. In addition, at least some mobile UE devices can communicate with each other using D2D communication resources. D2D discovery signals are transmitted by mobile UE devices to facilitate the discovery of the mobile UE devices by other mobile UE devices. The communication standard allocates one or more subframes within a frame of a frequency defined communication resource for transmission of the D2D discovery signals. The small cell discovery signals are also transmitted within the subframe to facilitate recognition that a small cell mobile UE device is within the small cell service area.

  • Publication number: 20160294750
Abstract: An electronic message can be displayed such that as a user provides an instruction to move the display of message content to one side of a display element, the message content is obscured and a message descriptive information is caused to be displayed. Display of message content can be done in an unobscured fashion in certain implementations without display of any message descriptive information. Separated display of message content and message descriptive information may provide a benefit of reduced traceability of the electronic message and/or reduced ability to screen capture an electronic message.

  • Publication number: 20160292417
Abstract: By hooking application programming interfaces in an execution environment, the return address for hooked application programming interface calls can be logged and used to determine when a packed binary has been unpacked. In one approach, memory allocations are detected and the return address is checked against the memory regions allocated. In another approach, the contents of memory at the return address in a pre-execution copy of the executable binary is compared with the contents of memory at the return address in the executing copy of the binary. This allows efficient detection of the completion of unpacking without knowledge of the unpacking technique. The unpacked binary may then be analyzed for possible malware.

  • Publication number: 20160289815
Abstract: A method is for depositing a dielectric material on to a substrate in a chamber by pulsed DC magnetron sputtering with a pulsed DC magnetron device which produces one or more primary magnetic fields. In the method, a sputtering material is sputtered from a target, wherein the target and the substrate are separated by a gap in the range 2.5 to 10 cm and a secondary magnetic field is produced within the chamber which causes a plasma produced by the pulsed DC magnetron device to expand towards one or more walls of the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20160292743
Abstract: A system and method transform a mobile computing device into a machine that displays multiple advertisements on a screen of the mobile computing device with at least one of the advertisements having a prominent position on a screen of the mobile computing device and the remaining, viewable advertisements having subordinate positions on the screen. In at least one embodiment, a subordinate position occupies less screen space than the prominent position. In at least one embodiment, displaying multiple advertisements allows the mobile computing device to engage the user with multiple advertisements, thus, increasing the likelihood that the user will act on at least one of the advertisements. Furthermore, the system and method further transform the mobile computing device into a machine that allows the user to reposition the advertisements by reallocating the prominent and subordinate positions to different advertisements.

  • Publication number: 20160289867
Abstract: A method of making indium tin oxide nanofibers includes the step of mixing indium and tin precursor compounds with a binder polymer to form a nanofiber precursor composition. The nanofiber precursor composition is co-formed with a supporting polymer to form a composite nanofiber having a precursor composition nanofiber completely surrounded by the supporting polymer composition. The supporting polymer composition is removed from the composite nanofiber to expose the precursor composition nanofiber. The precursor composition nanofiber is then heated in the presence of oxygen such as O2 to form indium tin oxide and to remove the binder polymer to form an indium tin oxide nanofiber. A method of making metal oxide nanofibers is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160292153
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, one or more sections of a document are identified, and segments of text within the one or more sections are parsed. The parsed segments of text are analyzed to identify parsed segments of text associated with pointers indicative of example content. One or more links are generated between the identified parsed segments of text and one or more topics to which they pertain. Embodiments of the present invention can be used, for example, to increase accuracy of search results by identifying examples in documents returned as search results, as well as by filtering out examples that may cause the main content of text to be obscured in the search results.

  • Publication number: 20160292610
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a prediction device for predicting timely delivery of telecom service orders in real time. In one embodiment, the method receives order data of historical time period and processes the order data to derive one or more variables and add missing values in the order data. Based on the processed order data, one or more models are generated and a model having least model generation error rate is identified. Using the model thus identified, prediction of timely delivery of telecom services is predicted in real time using real time data. By way of identifying factors that influence the timely delivery in each stage, helps to improve the probability of timely delivery by correcting the identified factors, thus improving customer experience and revenue realization to the telecom service providers.
