  • Publication number: 20160274177
Abstract: A method, a computer program product, and a computer system for identifying significant and consumable-insensitive trace features. A computer computes a residual in a first regression of one or more secondary factors on a target. The computer computes residuals in a second regression of the one or more secondary factors on each of one or more trace features in one or more trace feature sets. The computer computes, for the one or more trace feature sets, coefficients of determination in a third regression of the residuals in the second regression on the residual in the first regression. The computer ranks the one or more trace feature sets by sorting the coefficient of determination. The computer determines, based on rankings of the one or more trace feature sets, significant trace feature sets.

  • Publication number: 20160275999
Abstract: When powering-up or exiting from a sleep mode, the ramping up of various supply voltage nodes may occur at different rates. Thus, in a dual-rail memory circuit, a first voltage rail may be at voltage before a second voltage rail. Such a transient state of operation may lead to current spikes that unnecessarily draw power and introduce undesired inefficiency. An internal sleep signal generation circuit in the dual-rail memory circuit precisely controls an internal sleep signal such that the transition from off or sleep mode to operating mode is set to assure that the supply voltage nodes are close enough to the at-voltage operating level before releasing the sleep mode.

  • Patent number: 9449130
Abstract: Various embodiments automatically back annotate an electronic design representation by inserting complex model instances in the representation and interconnecting the model instances with one or more interconnect models. Identifications of ports in a first representation may be associated or updated with identifications of corresponding ports in a second representation. Annotating the first representation may also include associating or stitching parasitic information from the second representation with or in the first representation. A model is used to represent a vectored net by splitting a vectored net with a vectored net identification into multiple scalared net segments each having its own scalared net identification. Some aspects automatically generate a display for visualizing results of annotating an electronic design with complex models. Some of these aspects may further include parasitic information and analysis results in the display.

  • Patent number: 9446585
Abstract: A handheld inkjet printer includes an inkjet print head and a tip. One or more sensors measure the position of points on a curved surface that are physically touched by the tip while the tip is moved relative to the surface. Based on these measurements, a computer generates or modifies a computer model that specifies at least (i) position of the curved surface, and (ii) a target region of the curved surface on which a pattern is to be printed. In addition, the one or more sensors measure position and orientation of nozzles in the print head, while the handset is moved relative to the surface. The computers also calculate, based on the computer model and these additional measurements, which of the nozzles to fire at a different times, such that the pattern is printed on the target region as the handset is moved relative to the surface.
