  • Publication number: 20140240309
Abstract: A pixel circuit includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The first sub-pixel is coupled to a scan line and a data line, so as to determine whether to be enabled according to a first scan signal transmitted on the scan line, and whether to be driven according to a data signal transmitted on the data line. The second sub-pixel is coupled to the scan line, so as to determine whether to be enabled according to the first scan signal. The data signal is in a first state when the first scan signal is in a pre-charged period. The data signal is in a second state during a time interval after the pre-charged period is over and before the first scan signal enters a turn-on period. Voltage polarities of the first state and the second state are opposite. The pixel design can improve color shift and frame flicker.

  • Publication number: 20140210350
Abstract: A load driving apparatus relating to light-emitting-diodes (LEDs) is provided. In the invention, a compensation voltage on a compensation pin (CMP) of a control chip would not be changed in response to (or with) the variation (i.e. enabling and disabling) of a pulse-width-modulation (PWM) signal for dimming. In other words, the compensation voltage on the compensation pin (CMP) of the control chip would be maintained in unchanging regardless of whether the PWM signal for dimming is enabled or disabled. Therefore, an LED string at the current switching transient does not have the generation of over-shoot current.

  • Publication number: 20140189858
Abstract: An anonymous dataset generation method comprises following steps. A critical attribute set and a quasi-identifier (QID) set are acquired, and one of the critical attribute and the quasi-identifier is set as an anchor attribute. An attribute sequence and an equivalence table are generated according to the quasi-identifier set and the critical attribute set. A data cluster and a cluster table are generated according to the equivalence table. The content of the cluster table is generalized to generate and output an anonymous dataset corresponding to an original dataset. A risk evaluation method for an anonymous dataset calculates data weight to extract distinctive data and to attacking defects of the anonymous dataset according to the distinctive data, thereby enhancing a risk evaluation efficiency of the anonymous dataset.

  • Patent number: 8373633
Abstract: In a multi-domain vertical alignment liquid crystal display wherein a pixel that has two sub-pixels, an additional switching element is used to achieve a voltage differential between the electrode voltage potential in one sub-pixel and the other during and after the charge-sharing period. The electrodes in the sub-pixels are connected to each other through a charge-sharing capacitor and a controlling switching element, such as another transistor. Before the charge-sharing period, the controlling switching element is operated in a non-conducting state and the voltage potentials of the sub-pixel electrodes are substantially equal. During the charge-sharing period, the controlling switching element is operated in a conducting state to facilitate charge-sharing. The additional switching element is used to achieve the voltage differential more effectively and without additional capacitors.
