    Abstract: A method for detecting fake images includes: obtaining an image for authentication, and hand-crafting a multi-attribute classifier to determine whether the image is authentic. Hand-crafting the multi-attribute classifier includes fusing at least an image classifier, an image spectrum classifier, a co-occurrence matrix classifier, and a one-dimensional (1D) power spectrum density (PSD) classifier. The multi-attribute classifier is trained by pre-processing training images to generate an attribute-specific training dataset to train each of the image classifier, the image spectrum classifier, the co-occurrence matrix classifier, and the 1D PSD classifier.

    Abstract: The invention described herein includes a self-neutralizing amino acid-based cationic composition that contains an amino acid-based cationic ester, a nonionic amphiphile, and an anhydrous buffering agent. In an embodiment, the composition, when dispersed or dissolved in an aqueous solvent, provides a resultant solution/dispersion having a pH of greater than about 4. The amino acid-based cationic ester may be a reaction product of (i) an amino acid having a non-polar side chain, and an amine group that has been neutralized with an acid; with (ii) a long chain fatty alcohol. Also included within the scope of the invention are methods of preparing a self-neutralizing amino acid-based cationic composition, such method including combining an amino acid-based cationic ester, a nonionic amphiphile and an anhydrous buffering agent. The resulting composition is in an anhydrous solid form. Formulations containing the amino acid-based cationic ester and/or a composition that includes it, are also disclosed.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling power down of an overdrive low drop out regulator circuits. The system is designed with a low dropout regulator circuit configured to operate in a safe operating area range of operation with very low current. The circuit contains a regulator, a current boost, and a power down switch. The current boost is responsive to a power down signal, generally from a power distribution board. The circuit is fabricated such that the low dropout regulator circuit with the current boost operates with minimum current pull while maintaining safe operating area range of operation. The safe operating area range of operation is maintained during various design operations, normal operations, and power down. This regulator circuit may be designed without a middle level voltage or high-ground.
