    Abstract: It was discovered that hydrogel scaffolds can be used to induce phase separation as aqueous two-phase systems (ATPSs) pass through and/or rehydrate the scaffolds, allowing for concentration of target analyte(s) (e.g., biomolecule(s)) into a particular phase of the ATPS or into a leading front. Accordingly, in various embodiments methods and devices are provided that utilize aqueous two-phase systems and hydrogel scaffolds to improve the sensitivity of assays (e.g., of point-of-care assays) without sacrificing cost or ease of use.

For example, the nearby device may detect that concurrent transmissions of a transmitting device and intended recipient prevent reception by the intended recipient and provide feedback to the transmitting device. Rather than blindly retransmitting, the transmitting device may only retransmit when it receives feedback from the nearby device, saving power and avoiding unnecessary transmissions.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, related to low power techniques for a BLE device during a scanning state. The BLE device is configured to scan for a preamble of a packet while in a first power mode and detect when a bit of the preamble is received. Upon detecting that the bit of the preamble is received, the BLE device switches from the first power mode to a second power having a higher operating power for the BLE device than the first power mode. The switch in power modes occurs while the preamble is being received or immediately after the preamble is received and before an access address of the packet is received. The BLE device, while in the second power mode, then scans for the access address of the packet.

The contact of the inflatable actuator with the object to be sorted causes the object to change from a first trajectory to a second trajectory.

The one or more symbols used to transmit the PN sequence may be used for automatic gain control (AGC) training at a receiving device. The user equipment may then transmit the sidelink data in a plurality of symbols that are subsequent in time relative to the one or more symbols used to transmit the PN sequence, and the receiving device may process the sidelink data based on the AGC training. The mesh is configured to be positioned within the aneurysm in the deployed state such that the mesh extends over the neck of the aneurysm.

Bob modulates a coherent optical signal with a random envelope phase ?r, known to him and not to Alice, and transmits the modulated coherent optical signal (envelope) over the optical channel to Alice. Alice further modulates the envelope with a key phase ?k, based on a secret key and a selected modulation scheme, to create a cipher envelope, and sends the cipher envelope towards Bob along the optical channel. Bob then demodulates a received version of the cipher envelope by removing the random envelope phase ?r (known to Bob) and then measures the phase of the resulting demodulated coherent optical signal with the coherent detector to extract, to within a certain margin of error, the key phase ?k, from which Alice's secret key can be decoded. Bob then uses the secret key for encrypting messages sent to Alice over any digital network.
