  • Publication number: 20220141251
Abstract: A system and method for transferring an adversarial attack involving generating a surrogate model having an architecture and a dataset that mirrors at least one aspect of a target model of a target module, wherein the surrogate model includes a plurality of classes. The method involves generating a masked version of the surrogate model having ewer classes than the surrogate model by randomly selecting at least one class of the plurality of classes for removal. The method involves attacking the masked surrogate model to create a perturbed sample. The method involves generalizing the perturbed sample for use with the target module. The method involves transferring the perturbed sample to the target module to alter an operating parameter of the target model.

  • Publication number: 20220138537
Abstract: A computing device for time series modeling and forecasting includes a processor, and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory stores instructions to cause the processor to perform acts including encoding an input of a multivariate time series data, and performing a non-linear mapping of the encoded multivariate time series data to a lower-dimensional latent space. The next values in time of the encoded multivariate time series data in the lower dimensional latent space are predicted. The predicted next values and a random noise are mapped back to an input space to provide a predictive distribution sample for a next time points of the multivariate time series data. One or more time series forecasts based on the predictive distribution sample are output.

  • Publication number: 20220140601
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes extending simulation results and input data of a DC production cost model (PCM) of a power grid to an initial AC power flow model (PFM) using a generation distribution mapping and load distribution mapping of a related PFM base example associated with the PCM, and automatically producing a chronological series of converged AC PFM solutions associated with a PCM time series by, for each time step of the PCM time series: (i) updating inputs of an AC PFM using (a) PCM results of the current time step and (b) solution outputs of a converged AC PFM obtained from a previous PCM time step, and (ii) iteratively, reducing nodal loads by a gradual amount configured to account for power grid power flow losses unaccounted for by the PCM and performing AC PFM numerical analyses, until: (a) an AC PFM convergence is obtained and (b) a real power generation slack bus is less than or equal to a predefined tolerance in relation to a slack bus of the PCM results of the current time step.

  • Patent number: 11318239
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing online extracorporeal photopheresis of mononuclear cells are disclosed. During a mononuclear cell collection cycle, blood is removed from a source and separated into a plasma constituent, a mononuclear cell-containing layer, and red blood cells, followed by the collection of a pre-product including at least a portion of the mononuclear cell-containing layer and at least a portion of the separated red blood cells. The mononuclear cell collection cycle may be repeated, followed by the production of a single mononuclear cell product using the collected pre-product(s). The mononuclear cell product is irradiated using a fixed dose of light, such that the mononuclear cell product is produced so as to have a predetermined volume and a predetermined hematocrit, regardless of the number of pre-products used to produce the mononuclear cell product. Following irradiation, at least a portion of the irradiated mononuclear cell product is returned to the source.
