Abstract: The present disclosure provides a surgical shunt assembly tool that provides a more efficacious grip on the catheter tubes and prevent the tip of the catheter from buckling while the catheter is pushed onto the tip of the valve during installation of shunts during CSF shunt surgery. The tool includes standard handles such as used in a shodded misquito tool having a clamping jaw integrated into the distal end section of the handle. The distal jaw includes two forcep jaw sections each having a proximal end integrally formed with a distal end of a distal end arm section of one of the two handle arms, and a distal end section extending away from the distal end arm section. The distal end sections of the forcep jaw sections are cylindrically shaped such that when the forcep jaw is closed by bringing the two forcep jaw sections together, a cylinder is formed having a diameter substantially equal to a diameter of a catheter tube to be attached to a shunt valve tip.

Abstract: Systems and method for providing a soft landing of a wellhead connector onto a subsea wellhead are provided. One such system includes a wellhead connector configured to be coupled to a subsea wellhead, and a soft landing system disposed on a body of the wellhead connector. The soft landing system includes one or more cylinder assemblies coupled to the body of the wellhead connector, and one or more valve assemblies coupled to the body of the wellhead connector. Each cylinder assembly includes a barrel, a rod disposed within the barrel and extending in one direction from the barrel, and a pad attached to an extended end of the rod. The one or more valve assemblies are each fluidly coupled to the one or more cylinder assemblies.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using solid high-level disinfection chemistries to producing disinfectant solutions. In an embodiment, an apparatus comprises: a first container and a second container. The first container is configured to receive water, sodium percarbonate and tetraacetylethylenediamine. The water, the sodium percarbonate, the tetraacetylethylenediamine react within the first container to produce a mixture comprising peroxyacetic acid. The second container is in fluid communication with the first container, wherein the second container is configured to receive an acid and the mixture. The mixture and the acid mix in the second container to produce a disinfectant solution having a pH between 5.0 and 7.0.

Abstract: A peristaltic pump can include a chassis and a chassis retaining portion forming a cavity. The pump can also include a rotor, a cover, and a linkage. The rotor can be disposed within the cavity such that tubing can be held between the rotor and the chassis and/or the chassis retaining portion. The linkage can couple the cover to the chassis. The linkage can include an arm. When opening the cover, the arm can pivot such that the chassis moves away from the chassis retaining portion to widen the cavity. When closing the cover, the arm can pivot such that the chassis moves toward the chassis retaining portion. When closed, a stop can restrict further movement of a corresponding member toward the chassis retaining portion.

Such a system includes a cracker unit configured to convert a light alkane into an olefin-containing hydrocarbon comprising at least one alkene, and an aromatization unit. The light alkane is selected from the group consisting of methane, ethane, propane, butane, and a combination thereof. The cracker unit is configured to at least partially feed the olefin-containing hydrocarbon into the aromatization unit. Such an olefin-containing hydrocarbon comprises at least 40 wt. % of the at least one alkene. The aromatization unit is used to convert the olefin-containing hydrocarbon therein into a product stream, which includes an aromatic hydrocarbon selected from the group consisting of benzene, toluene, xylenes, and a combination thereof.

Abstract: Blood vessel occlusion devices, systems and methods, in particular embodiments of devices for aortic occlusion. The device includes one or more locator portions and an occluder portion. The device is delivered via transcatheter delivery. The locator portion may be radially expanded using a handle and actuator at the proximal end of the delivery catheter. Tactile feedback from the locator portion is used to determine proper location of the occluder portion, for example within the abdominal aorta. The occluder is then radially expanded to occlude the vessel.

Abstract: Techniques of generating a wavefront modulating element (WME) for imaging an object over a large image field include (i) designing a WME by breaking a large image into smaller sub-images and then applying an inverse imaging operation to find a segment of a plurality of segments (324-1 to -334-n) of a WME (in the from of DOE) producing a sub-image, and (ii) specifying an optical system to illuminate the WME resulting from each of the plurality of segments in such a way that the large image is reproduced as closely as possible. Along these lines, given a large target image in the far-field, a WME generation system decomposes the target image into sub-images. From this decomposition, the WME generation system then produces WME segments corresponding to the sub-images.

The light blocking layer can block at least 90% of incident light. The first bondable features are flipchip mounted to a first portion of the bond pads.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may establish a unicast connection over a sidelink communications with a second UE. To establish the unicast connection over the sidelink, the first UE may transmit a request message (e.g., a first message) to the second UE, and the second UE may transmit a response message (e.g., a second message) to the first UE accepting the request. The unicast connection over the sidelink may then be established between the first UE and the second UE, and user data may then be transmitted over the sidelink on the established unicast connection. Additionally, the first UE may transmit a connection complete message (e.g., a third message) to the second UE indicating that the unicast connection has been established. The request message, the response message, and the connection complete message may be radio resource control (RRC) messages.

The control information includes a first portion with a first set of data and a second portion with a second set of data. The method then transmits the first portion of the control information in a first stage using first time and frequency resources. The method further transmits the second portion of the control information in a second stage using second time and frequency resources and the indicated control information format.
