  • Publication number: 20250126196
Abstract: Methods and systems for secure caller identification are described herein. In one implementation, when a phone call from a caller is received, a home network may mark a caller ID as trustable in a trusted flag if the caller ID can be verified. The home network may further forward the caller ID and a replica of the flag to a next hop entity until the next hop is the callee. The network on each hop may further verify the caller ID based on a trust relationship between the network and a prior network. In another implementation, the home network of the caller may send a caller ID token (CIT) associated with the caller and send a replica of CIT to a serving network of the callee through one or more networks. The serving network may verify the replica of CIT to determine whether the caller ID is trustable.

  • Publication number: 20250124639
Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for rendering virtual objects in a computer generated virtual environment. Physical environment condition data is received and transformed into UV map data structure(s), where each UV map data structure comprises entries that store one or more environment condition values mapped from the physical environment condition data to the UV map data structure. A customized shader processes the UV map data structure(s) to apply environment condition effects to a rendering of a virtual object corresponding to the customized shader. The customized shader executes on the environment condition data of the UV map data structure(s) and specifies a modification to a representation of the virtual object due to the environment condition values represented in the UV map data structure(s). Generation of the virtual object in the virtual environment is controlled based on results of processing the one or more UV map data structures by the customized shader.

  • Publication number: 20250120689
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for transtendinous implantation of a toggle-type bone anchor. Measured from the top surface of the tendon, the entire bone anchor is inserted to a depth of greater than or equal to 20 mm. during a rotator cuff repair on the humeral head. The anchor is pushed by the same bone punch that formed the initial hole to assure proper depth of placement. Further, the apparatus includes a nub portion that, in use, protrudes into the bone hole formed by the bone punch and maintains registration with the bone hole when the bone punch is retracted. An angled distal end on the anchor initiates toggling during insertion into the bone and at least one proximal projecting fin prevents the anchor from backing out of the bone hole while facilitating further rotation of the anchor when a suture is pulled to complete toggling.

Abstract: Implements for cleaning and storing nail drill bits are disclosed which may comprise a body, first, second, and third pluralities of holes, a fluid compartment, a cover and a brush compartment. The cover may be associated with the fluid compartment such that when the cover is in an open configuration, cleaning and disinfectant solutions contained in reservoirs of the fluid compartment can be accessed through the first plurality of holes. A soiled nail drill bit can be cleaned by submerging the bit in the cleaning solution, brushing the bit with bristles of the brush compartment, drying the bit in the second plurality of holes, and submerging the bit in the disinfectant solution. The third plurality of holes may receive the cleaned nail drill bits so they may be used in a manicure or pedicure operation.

  • Publication number: 20250120810
Abstract: Disclosed herein are expandable introducer sheaths and methods of making and using the same. The sheaths minimize trauma to a patient's vasculature by allowing for temporary expansion of a portion of the sheath to accommodate passage of a delivery system for an implant, then return to a non-expanded state after the passage of the device. The sheath includes a foldable inner member having a detached flap structure at its distal tip that facilitates expansion of the sheath lumen to increased diameters, and an elastomeric distal end that reduces push and retrieval forces therethrough. The sheath can include a hemostasis seal on its proximal end to prevent the leakage of blood out of the sheath and prevent ballooning of outer layer of the sheath.

  • Publication number: 20250124698
Abstract: A method and a system for performing distance metric learning using proxies are provided. The method for performing distance metric learning assigns a proxy as an anchor to represent a class and associates the proxy with all data points in a training batch. The method allows data points to interact with each other via proxies during training. Additionally, the fine-grained data-to-data relation is actively considered, which is combined with a learnable margin parameter leading to intra-class compactness and inter-class separability.
