Abstract: A data processing system comprises a processor unit that includes an instruction decode/issue unit including a re-order buffer having entries that include an execution queue tag that indicates an execution queue location of an instruction to which a re-order buffer entry is assigned, a result valid indicator to indicate that a corresponding instruction has executed with a status bit valid result, and a forward indicator to indicate that the status bit can be forwarded to an execution queue of an instruction pointed to that is waiting to receive the status bit.

Abstract: Systems and methods for tagging digital content are provided. In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving and storing personal data of a first user of an internet-based social network. The personal data of the first user can include one or more digital images or other digital content that the first user is willing to share with other users of the social network. Accordingly, a request from a second user of the internet-based social network can be received to view some of the digital content of the first user. A viewer image can be used to tag the digital content of the first user allowing the owner of the digital content to quickly determine the viewers. The viewer image can be a personal profile picture, an image, an icon, an avatar (two-dimensional or three-dimensional), or other on-screen representation that includes a visual indicator of the second user.

Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure provides an apparatus for determining formation density. One embodiment of the apparatus includes a bottomhole assembly having a drill bit attached to end thereof for drilling through a formation, a first sensor in the drill bit configured to provide first signals for determining a first density of the formation proximate to the drill, a second sensor distal from the first sensor configured to provide signals for determining density of a second density of the formation, and a processor configured to determine the formation density from the first density and the second density.

The semiconductor device includes: a III-V semiconductor layer; an aluminum oxide layer formed on the III-V semiconductor layer; and a lanthanide oxide layer formed on the aluminum oxide layer. The method of manufacturing a semiconductor device includes: forming an aluminum oxide layer between a III-V semiconductor layer and a lanthanide oxide layer so as to prevent an inter-reaction of atoms between the III-V semiconductor layer and the lanthanide oxide layer.

A rotary drill bit may include a unitary, centrifugally cast bit body including an integral shank, at least one blade, and at least one cutting element on the blade. A rotary drill bit or a roller cone may include a first centrifugally cast material and a second centrifugally cast material. Another rotary drill bit includes a bit body comprising a maraging steel alloy. A method of forming a rotary drill bit may include disposing cutting elements on a rotary drill bit comprising maraging steel and aging the rotary drill bit to form at least one intermetallic precipitate phase. Methods of repairing a rotary drill bit include annealing and aging at least a portion of a rotary drill bit.

Abstract: A vehicle suspension system includes a pump, a gas spring, and an accumulator. The suspension system also includes a controller for adjusting the suspension system. The controller has a processing circuit configured to receive a measure of gas in the spring. The processing circuit is further configured to calculate a difference between a target value and a current value based on the received measure of gas. The processing circuit is also configured to provide an output for adjusting the gas in the spring in response to the calculated difference.

Abstract: A wireless communications system includes a radio network facilitating wireless communications with a wireless subscriber unit, a dispatch application server providing dispatch communications services to the subscriber unit via the radio network, and an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) infrastructure including a Proxy-Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) and a Serving-CSCF (S-CSCF). The P-CSCF notifies the dispatch application server of subscriber unit registration events, allowing the dispatch application server to provide dispatch communications services without initiating a separate registration process. Dispatch communications are routed between the wireless subscriber unit and dispatch application server through the P-CSCF, bypassing the S-CSCF of the IMS infrastructure.

Abstract: Methods and systems for preparation of calibrant infusion fluid sources are disclosed. In one embodiment, a precise volume of glucose is injected into a saline-solution filled calibrant infusion fluid source proximate in time to conducting a calibration procedure. The glucose concentration in the calibrant infusion fluid source is subsequently calculated based on the measured weight of the saline-solution, as determined prior to glucose injection, and the volume of glucose injected. This method provides a highly accurate and convenient manner for use in a hospital environment, for example, with an intravenous blood glucose sensor system. In another embodiment, a premixed calibrant infusion fluid source is provided that includes saline solution and a predetermined concentration of glucose. In such embodiments, shelf life problems related to water evaporation are mitigated by hermetically covering or otherwise hermetically containing the calibrant infusion fluid source up until the point of use.

Abstract: In a Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET), multi-metric information is gathered and applied to a cost-based route calculation. In particular, each node gathers resource metrics from neighboring of nodes, along with data rate and reliability information for data links to and from the node. This information is applied to a costing algorithm such as Dykstra' Open Shortest Path First algorithm to obtain routes through the network. This approach may be adapted with suitable modifications to use with unicast traffic or with a multicast forwarding group.

Abstract: A non-volatile memory fabrication process includes the formation of a complete memory cell layer stack before isolation region formation. The memory cell layer stack includes an additional place holding control gate layer. After forming the layer stack columns, the additional control gate layer will be incorporated between an overlying control gate layer and underlying intermediate dielectric layer. The additional control gate layer is self-aligned to isolation regions between columns while the overlying control gate layer is etched into lines for contact to the additional control gate layer. In one embodiment, the placeholder control gate layer facilitates a contact point to the overlying control gate layer such that contact between the control gate layers and the charge storage layer is not required for select gate formation.

Abstract: Methods of attaching cutting elements to earth-boring tools, comprising abutting a portion a cutting element against at least one surface of an earth-boring tool with a braze material disposed therebetween; and brazing the cutting element to the earth-boring tool by applying high-frequency vibrations to cause the braze material to become flowable. Methods of securing cutting elements to earth-boring tools may comprise at least partially coating a cutting element with a braze material. The cutting element may be at least partially disposed in a pocket formed in a body of an earth-boring tool with the braze material adjacent surfaces defining the pocket. The cutting element and the braze material may be ultrasonically torsionally oscillated to braze the cutting element within the pocket.

Abstract: Visual content in images captured from a scene by a camera in each of a plurality of different pose settings are analyzed to determine predicted occurrences of a transaction associated with the visual content in each pose, which are compared with actual transaction occurrence data to generate performance values for each pose as a function difference between the predicted and actual transactions. Optimized poses are chosen having the best performance value, wherein a camera controller may place the camera in the optimum pose for use in monitoring the scene and generating the primitives of interest associated with the transactions.

Text labels are assigned to image primitives in a time-ordered set of training images and to related time-ordered transactions in an associated training transaction log in a combined time-ordered training string of text labels as a function of image types. Transactions are labeled in a training transaction log with a transaction label, a training primitive image of a start of a transaction with a start image text label, a training primitive of an entry of a transaction into the log with an entry image text label, and a training primitive of a conclusion of a transaction with an ending image text label. Positive subset string patterns are discovered representing true events from the combined time-ordered training string of text labels, and negative subset string patterns defined by removing single transaction primitive labels from the positive subset string patterns.
