  • Patent number: 8147535
Abstract: Disclosed is a deployment catheter for deploying a tubular endoluminal vascular prosthesis, useful in treating, for example, an abdominal aortic aneurysm. The deployment catheter includes a proximal tubular section and a distal tubular section which are axially movable in opposite directions to deploy a prosthesis. A central core extends throughout the proximal tubular section and into the distal tubular section. A reinforcing structure is carried by the central core, spanning the junction between the proximal tubular section and distal tubular section, to improve flexibility characteristics of the catheter. In one embodiment, the proximal tubular section and/or distal tubular section are rotationally linked to the central core.

  • Publication number: 20120011204
Abstract: One or more interactions between a first user and a second user of a social networking system are identified. Each respective interaction of the one or more interactions is scored based on a group score and a time penalty. The group score is based on the number of users in the respective interaction and the time penalty is based on a time between a current time and a time of a last interaction between the first user and the second user. A relationship ranking that measures the first user's affinity towards the second user is determined, where the relationship ranking comprises one or more interaction scores. An indicator representing the relationship ranking is sent to a client for display.

  • Patent number: 8080988
Abstract: A driver circuit (for example, in a switching power supply or in a Class-D switching amplifier) drives a gate of a switch during a transition with a low output impedance during an initial period and then for the remainder of the transition drives the gate with a midrange output impedance. The switch in turn switches current flow through an inductor. The driver circuit includes a “Drive Node Voltage Dependent Impedance Circuit” (DNVDIC) that couples the gate to a supply voltage node. In one embodiment, there are two resistive current paths through the DNVDIC. A non-linear device in the first current path switches from having a small to a large impedance when a voltage drop across the device falls below a threshold voltage. The resulting increase in impedance of the first current path decreases voltage edge rates and reduces noise, whereas the low initial impedance reduces transition power losses.

  • Publication number: 20110302523
Abstract: This disclosure describes a system in which individual employee records can be updated across multiple services by an administrator at the interface to a particular service. Multiple services may be provided with this capability. This will eliminate the need in the current art for a central directory that contains a service description that will be common across all services. The technology eliminates the need for the development of this directory and the training of administrators in its interface. Administrators may utilize their training in one service interface to update records across multiple services. This will enable the more rapid development of solutions utilizing services from multiple vendors. Administrators need not be trained on interfaces for all services but can apply routine global updates from a convenient and familiar interface.
