    Abstract: A method for reducing power consumption of a device with an embedded memory module is provided. The device includes comprises a processor, an embedded memory module, a software module, a power supplying unit, and an auxiliary logic. The embedded memory module is accessed by the processor and partitioned into a plurality of memory blocks in accordance with a first predetermined rule. The software module comprises an instruction set and a data set. The software module is segmented into a plurality of segments in accordance with a second predetermined rule. The power supplying unit provides power to the plurality of memory blocks. The auxiliary logic controls the power supplying unit. The power supplied to a memory block is switched on or off in accordance with a condition.

    Abstract: A method for audio and video control response and bandwidth adaptation based on network streaming applications is disclosed. A server delivers a received control command to a stream controller while a player empties the expired streaming data stored in a buffer thereof. The stream controller controls the input source of a video/audio capturer. The receiver buffer estimator of the receiver estimates whether the amount of the streaming data stored in the buffer is within a safe range and delivers the estimation result and bandwidth variation information to a stream adaptor. If the amount of the stream data is less than a threshold value, the timestamp scalar is adjusted based on the estimation result and the bandwidth variation information, thereby adjusting the consumption rate of the streaming data in the buffer of the player for re-accumulating streaming data of the buffer.

    Abstract: A motor mechanism of DC inverter-fed compressor is disclosed, wherein a motor rotor includes a first rotor layer, a second rotor layer and a third rotor layer, made up respectively of a plurality of rotor units stacked together. The rotor units have a shaft hole in the middle and have at least one magnet slot that install a permanent magnet at every quarter surface area of the rotor units. The rotor units of the first rotor layer have a plurality of first holes at one of the quarter areas thereon, and the rotor units of the third rotor layer have a plurality of third holes, which are set up at an area opposing the first holes. The present invention can reduce the height of the compressor, the costs of parts and assembly, and increase the total efficiency of the motor and the compressor.

    Abstract: A system for processing a television (TV) picture-out-picture (POP) includes a line buffer, a first multiplexer, an image processing engine, a scaling engine and a timing generator. The image processing engine performs an image processing on the partial pixels output by the first multiplexer to thereby produce processed pixels. The scaling engine performs a scaling operation on the processed pixels to thereby produce scaled pixels. The timing generator produces a timing signal for the image processing engine and the scaling engine and produces enable signals respectively for the first picture and the second picture. The image processing engine and the scaling engine process the partial pixels of the first or second picture in multiplexing.
