  • Patent number: 8439253
Abstract: A blank, carton, or package including a handle formed in a top panel is described. Deformation lines can be included on the blank or carton to allow the handle to flex, thereby increasing handle strength. The blank can include corner-forming panels attached to end flaps that can be used to form corners in the formed carton or package. The corners provide reinforcement strength to allow stacking of the cartons or packages, such as on pallets or during shipment. Openings can be provided in select areas of the blank, carton, or package to allow ventilation to and from the interior of the carton or package. Connecting panels in the top panel can be removed to dispense articles from the carton or package.

  • Publication number: 20120148824
Abstract: The present invention relates to sandwich panels used as aircraft interior parts. In addition to provide a finishing function, the sandwich panels need to have certain mechanical properties and have sufficient fire resistance to retard the spread of fire within the vehicle interior. The present invention provides an aircraft interior panel with skins comprising natural fibre reinforced composites based either on an inorganic thermoset resin or a thermoplastic resin. Such panels provide the required flame and heat resistance, allow easy recycling and disposal, are cheaper and offer significant weight savings over conventional sandwich panels.

  • Publication number: 20080108091
Abstract: The invention provides method for predicting whether a cancer patient will respond to a therapy. Methods of the invention may involve examining protein from a cell of the cancer patient by determining the binding of a panel of antibodies to the protein. Methods of the invention may be used to generate both expression and activation profiles for cells from a cancer patient. Profiles from a cancer patient may then be compared to known profiles for therapy responders and non-responders to predict the individual response of the patient. For example, methods of the invention may be used to determine whether an ovarian or breast cancer patient will respond to a therapeutic protocol.
