    Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for connecting a plurality of mobile devices in a videoconference over a cellular network via a videoconferencing server. At least one of the mobile devices includes a camera to capture a video of a participant in the videoconference. The video is transmitted to the videoconferencing server on the cellular network. The videoconferencing server edits the video and sends the edited video to receiving mobile devices in real-time. The receiving mobile devices output the video as a projection by using an internal mobile projector or transmit the video to an external display device. A sending mobile device may also act as a receiving mobile device, such that each of the participants may view video of other participants in his/her own background/environment while communicating with the other participants.

The placement of the symbol window can further be enhanced through processing of the received TPS bits.

    Abstract: A GNSS system operates intermittently and has adaptive activity and sleep time in order to reduce power consumption. The GNSS system provides an enhanced estimate of its position in the absence of GNSS signals of sufficient strength. The user's activity and behavior is modeled and used to improve performance, response time, and power consumption of the GNSS system. The user model is based, in part, on the received GNSS signals, a history of the user's positions, velocity, time, and inputs from other sensors disposed in the GNSS system, as well as data related to the network. During each activity time, the GNSS receiver performs either tracking, or acquisition followed by tracking. The GNSS receiver supports both normal acquisition as well as low-power acquisition.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, while being connected to the network, a security issue may be detected and associated with the device. The device may be placed on a blacklist for the security issue. The blacklist is a list that is used to deny service for the device when it attempts to connect. Thus, the device is disconnected from the network. Identification information for the device is added to the blacklist at the authentication server. If the device attempts to reconnect to the network, the request is received at the authentication server. The authentication server can then check the blacklist and deny the request for access to the network if the identification information is on the blacklist. This denial is determined without sending the request to the HLR. Accordingly, the HLR is protected in that requests from a device that may be considered a security issue are not sent to the HLR.

    Abstract: To determine the level of frequency drift of a crystal oscillator as a result of a change in the its temperature, the temperature of the crystal oscillator is sensed and used together with previously stored data that includes a multitude of drift values of the frequency of the crystal oscillator each associated with a temperature of the crystal oscillator. Optionally, upon initialization of a GPS receiver in which the crystal oscillator is disposed, an initial temperature of the crystal oscillator is measured and a PLL is set to an initial frequency in association with the initial temperature. When acquisition fails in a region, the ppm region is changed. The temperature of the crystal oscillator is periodically measured and compared with the initial temperature, and the acquisition process is reset if there is a significant change in temperature. The GPS processor enters the tracking phase when acquisition is successful.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a security gateway receives an IPSec Initiation (IPSec INIT) request from a client. The security gateway may communicate with a AAA server to authenticate the client. After authentication, the security gateway intercepts a URR Discovery request from the client. The security gateway determines registration information for a response to the registration request. The registration information may be information on where the client can locate a D-GANC. A response is generated using the determined information and sent to the client. The response to the discovery request is performed without communicating with a P-GANC. Accordingly, a security gateway is used to authenticate the client and also to respond to the discovery request. This does not require that a P-GANC function be deployed in a network. Thus, cost and processing power may be saved.
