  • Publication number: 20230209552
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for sidelink wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE), such as a vehicle UE, that supports full-duplex communications may transmit a sidelink control channel during a set of time resources including scheduling information for a subsequent transmission by the UE via a first set of resources. The UE may receive a sidelink control channel during the set of time resources from a second UE that may support full-duplex communications or half-duplex communications. The sidelink control channel may include scheduling information for a subsequent transmission via a second set of time-frequency resources that at least partially overlaps with the first set of time-frequency resources. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), may receive, at a processing layer of the UE, sets of discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle parameters from a corresponding set of applications at an application layer of the UE. The UE may determine, based on the sets of DRX parameters, a common DRX cycle to satisfy each of the sets of applications. The UE may transmit the common DRX cycle to one or more layers in the user plane protocol stack of the UE. A base station may also receive a request, from the UE, for a set of DRX cycle parameters that satisfies the common DRX cycle of the UE. The base station may transmit an indication of the set of DRX parameters, and receive, from the UE, a confirmation of a DRX cycle associated with the set of DRX cycle parameters.

  • Publication number: 20230179954
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a vulnerable road user (VRU) user equipment (UE) indicates to a user whether a current position accuracy is sufficient or insufficient for approaching vehicles to determine if they present a hazard to the VRU. The position accuracy may be based on an accuracy threshold that is configured at the UE, such as by a serving base station or a road side unit (RSU). The accuracy threshold may be configured via common or dedicated signaling, through application-layer signaling, or may be pre-configured in the UE. When the VRU UE position accuracy exceeds the specified threshold for a particular interval of time, the UE may inform the user that approaching vehicles will be unable to determine their location with enough accuracy to take evasive maneuvers.

  • Patent number: 11665689
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) for wireless communication within a network. The UE receives, from a radio access network (RAN) entity, one of an uplink indication or an uplink port identification associated with an uplink port. The uplink indication and the uplink port identification are associated with an uplink message. The UE also maps one of the uplink indication to a sidelink indication associated with a sidelink message or the uplink port identification to a sidelink port identification associated with a sidelink port and the sidelink message. The UE further superposition codes the uplink message and the sidelink message into a broadcast transmission based on one of (A) the uplink indication and the sidelink indication, or (B) the uplink port and the sidelink port. In addition, the UE transmits, to the RAN entity, the broadcast transmission.

  • Patent number: 11653375
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) operating according to full duplex (e.g., transmit and receive concurrently) may adapt a transmit power of a sidelink feedback message based on priorities of data messages. For example, the UE may determine a priority of a first data message received at the UE in a previous slot and a priority of a second data message transmitted to the UE in a previous slot. Based on a comparison of the priorities of the data messages, the UE may adjust a transmit power for a feedback message indicating a decoding outcome of the first data message and transmit the feedback message according to the adjusted transmit power while receiving a feedback message indicating the decoding outcome of the second data message thereby increasing efficiency while reducing interference.
