  • Publication number: 20110190993
Abstract: A method and system for controlling a powertrain in a vehicle includes steps including registering a road condition. If the registered road condition corresponds to normal road conditions then a first gear selection control algorithm is used intended for driving the vehicle in a normal mode corresponding to the conditions on an ordinary road. If the registered road condition corresponds to soft surface road conditions then a second gear selection control algorithm is used intended for driving the vehicle in a soft surface mode corresponding to the conditions on an soft surface road. In this way, a vehicle can be adapted to be provided with an AMT to work in a satisfactorily way under an increased diversity of conditions.

  • Publication number: 20110144871
Abstract: A method and a vehicle transmission for selecting a starting gear in a vehicle are provided, the method including steps of measuring a starting gear selection parameter, and selecting a starting gear for the next coming vehicle take-off in dependence of the measured starting gear selection parameter, wherein the starting gear selection parameter is the number of vehicle take offs per time unit. Additionally the parameter can be acceleration in movement of an accelerator pedal being depressed by a driver, accelerator pedal position and clutch wear. Benefits are increased clutch endurance for a vehicle that during at least a period has to perform frequent take-offs and at the same time enhancing take-off comfort for a vehicle that during at least a period goes long-distance.

  • Publication number: 20110141945
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automated prefix delegation for a network entity in a communication network. A network entity receives from a first neighbouring network entity a first prefix that relate to the first neighbouring network entity, and a path length to a core network entity via the first neighbouring network entity. The network entity also receives from a second neighbouring network entity a second prefix that relates to the second neighbouring network entity, and a path length to a core network entity via the second neighbouring network entity. The network entity then selects a neighbouring network entity on the basis of the path length to the core network entity, and delegates a prefix for the network entity by concatenating the prefix of the selected neighbouring network entity with an identifier for the network entity.

  • Publication number: 20110131308
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement to maintain a TCP connection (230) between two hosts (140, 250) in a multi-hop network (110,120). If the connection (230) is inactive (no IP packets sent or received) during a certain period of time, it may happen that the connection (230) is released by certain intermediate network entities such as a Network Address Translation NAT function (130). The current invention overcomes this problem by sending keep-alive packets (210) from one of the hosts (250) towards the other (140) at regular intervals. Said packets (210) prevent the NAT (130) from releasing the connection (230). In order to not disturb the other host (140) e.g. a mobile terminal in a sleeping mode, the keep-alive packets (210) are adapted in such way that they are sent far enough to reach the NAT (130) but not all way to the other host (140).

  • Publication number: 20100260344
Abstract: A method and arrangement for cancelling echoes in a communication terminal (400) during a voice call with an opposite party. The communication terminal (400) comprises an echo cancelling unit (416,600) adapted to produce an estimate of echo information in received speech signals coming from a microphone in the communication terminal (400), and subtract the estimate from the received microphone signals, before being transmitted to the opposite party. The estimate is produced based on down-sampled received microphone signals and down-sampled received speech signals from the opposite party. The down-sampled speech signals from the opposite party are filtered in a digital filter (606), and the output signals from the filter (606) are up-sampled to form the estimate.
