    Abstract: A method and an apparatus configured to perform the method, the method including selecting a first maximum radiofrequency (RF) power for a first ablation mode within a range of 70 W to 100 W and selecting a second maximum RF power for a second ablation mode within a range of 20 W to 60 W. The method also includes selecting a maximum allowable temperature, of tissue to be ablated in the first ablation mode, within a range of 55° C.-65° C., and selecting irrigation rates for providing irrigation fluid to the electrode in the first ablation mode and the second ablation mode within a range of 8-45 ml/min. In some embodiments, the first maximum RF power is 90 W applied for 4 seconds with a maximum temperature of 60° C.

    Abstract: An expandable intervertebral device and its fixation during spinal surgery features the following: The intervertebral device is stabilized using a latticework of high-strength suture that is either directly integrated or external to the device and has hollow channels for threading of high-strength suture, permitting direct integration of suture into the device for fixation via bone anchors. Expansion and retraction of the intervertebral device is achieved by modulating a dual-access screw, which can be accessed from either end of the intervertebral device. The versatility of the dual-access screw and easily detachable suture threads afford surgeons an ability to remove the intervertebral device from the most optimal direction during primary or revision surgery. This intervertebral device having the dual-access screw and high-strength suture fixation permits a secure, safe, versatile, and efficient approach to spinal surgery.

Measures may be represented with respect to various planes associated with the respective image and/or with respect to an existing implant. A safe zone (graphical element) may be rendered and overlaid with respect to each displayed image to indicate a clinically accepted safe range of positions for the 3D implant. Different instances of implants having respective characteristics affecting range of motion may be available for use during a procedure. For a set of available implants minimal and maximal safe zones may be presented for planning assistance.

The device may compare, for each cluster, the inheritance dataset of the target named entity to the reference panel named entities in the cluster to identify similarities and shared inheritance segments between the target named entity and the reference panel named entities. The device may determine, for each cluster, a metric based on the inheritance segments shared. The device may assign the target named entity to one or more ethnicities based on the comparison between the metric and the threshold specific to the cluster.
