  • Patent number: 12336977
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to nitenin analogue compounds (of formulas I, II, III and IV) and their use as pharmaceutical agent in the treatment, prevention or reduction of both acute and chronic pain. The mode of action disclosed herein allows nitenin and nitenin analogue compounds to act as analgesic through reduction of K30 currents rather than their potentiation. Related to their high efficacy in the treatment of pain, these compounds are highly selective for slow voltage-activated potassium (K30 ) currents expressed in the small diameter dorsal root neurons (sDRGns), mainly on those mediated by the voltage-dependent potassium channel (KV), KV1.3. Such findings, together with those showing that nitenin and nitenin analogue compounds act as activity dependent blockers also lead to very reduced side-effects.

  • Patent number: 12338741
Abstract: A system for generating power includes a turbine generator for generating alternating current (AC) power and a power electronics module that provides a first signal to the turbine generator to switch an operating mode of the turbine generator from an off mode to a startup mode. The first signal is variable frequency power. The system includes a controller that provides a second signal that causes the turbine generator to switch from a normal operating mode to a coast down mode. In the startup mode, the turbine generator accelerates to a full rotational rate and in the coast down mode, the turbine generator decelerates from the full rotational rate to a stop over an interval of time. The system includes a power converter that converts rotational inertia by the turbine generator into direct current (DC) power responsive to the turbine generator operating in the coast down mode.

  • Patent number: 12339856
Abstract: An electronic device generates training data to train a classifier to classify a respective search query as complete or incomplete, including: obtaining a first search query input by a first user; determining a media content item selected by the first user from the first search query; comparing metadata associated with the media content item with the first search query input by the first user; and labeling the first search query as complete or incomplete based on the comparison. The electronic device trains the classifier, using the generated training data, to classify a respective search query as complete or incomplete and uses the trained classifier to determine whether a second search query is complete or incomplete. The electronic device provides, for display, for a second user, one or more complete search queries as recommendations for a received search query, including the second search query if second search query is complete.
