  • Publication number: 20220169510
Abstract: Known processes for preparing a porous carbon material with a hierarchical porosity comprise the steps of a) providing at least one carbon source and at least one amphiphilic species, b) combining the carbon source and the amphiphilic species to obtain a precursor material, and c) heating the precursor material to obtain the porous carbon material having a modal pore size and a pore volume. In order to avoid a lengthy hydrothermal treatment and to allow tunability of the pore size, pore size distribution and pore volume in carbon material, it is proposed that the heating step c) comprises a low temperature treatment in which the precursor material is heated to a first temperature in the range between 300° C. and 600° C. to obtain a self-assembled porous carbonaceous material, and wherein heating to the first temperature comprises a first average heating rate in the range of 0.5° C./min to 5° C./min.

  • Publication number: 20200362313
Abstract: The present invention describes a virus-derived factor which when provided to cells, e.g., by transfecting the cells with RNA encoding the virus-derived factor, enhances expression of RNA encoding a peptide or protein in the cells. In particular, the virus-derived factor enhances survival of cells, in particular when transfected repetitively with RNA, and reduces an IFN response of cells to transfected RNA. Accordingly, the present invention provides methods and means for enhancing expression of RNA in cells. The cells are preferably transfected with the RNA.

  • Patent number: 10101377
Abstract: The thermal monitoring of a converter for an electric motor of a vehicle should be improved. Therefore, the invention relates to a method in which the temperature of the converter is measured. In addition, the output power of the converter is determined. The temperature of the converter is estimated using a thermal model of the converter having the output power as an input variable. The estimated temperature is compared with the measured temperature, and a corresponding monitoring signal is provided. Thus, a deviation of the measured temperature for the calculated temperature and thus a corresponding error in the cooling system can be detected even in the partial-load range.

  • Patent number: 9818588
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and an arrangement for the control of measuring systems such as a mass spectrometer or nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) instrument, the control being based on an online data analysis of the current measurements. Depending on the measurement experiment, the combined result of the data analysis can have either a direct influence on the next measurement or result in a dynamically organized sequence of measurements. The measuring systems may be controlled by establishing a database that comprises information on the objects to be measured, the measurement data which can be detected during the measurement experiments using the measuring systems, and information regarding the relationships between or among items of the measurement data.
