  • Patent number: 8944279
Abstract: A container for storing personal care articles comprising a lid structure attached to the container is disclosed. The lid structure has a top lid portion connected to a base lid portion. The base lid portion includes a rigid port surrounding a unitary dispensing partition extending in an x and z direction to the rigid port, the unitary dispensing partition having a dispensing slit formed therethrough. The unitary dispensing partition forms an arc extending a first depth into the interior of the container in a z-direction. The depth of the dispensing partition allows for the personal care article to be stored in a pop-up dispensing position with a larger portion of the personal care article extending from the dispensing slit. This allows for easier retrieval of the product by a consumer and less dispensing failures.

  • Patent number: 8639877
Abstract: A computational device allocates a plurality of solid state disks to a plurality of redundant array of independent disk (RAID) ranks, wherein a different solid state disk is absent in each RAID rank of the plurality of RAID ranks. The computational device determines at least one selected solid state disk from the plurality of solid state disks, wherein the at least one selected solid state disk is estimated to have undergone a greater amount of wear in comparison to other solid state disks in the plurality of solid state disks. Relatively more data and parity information is written to those RAID ranks in which the at least one selected solid state disk is absent in comparison to those RAID ranks in which the at least one selected solid state disk is present.

  • Publication number: 20130248548
Abstract: A container denester apparatus which overcomes, among other problems, the problems identified above. The denester apparatus positively controls the flanges of the container so as to individually denest a lowermost container from a stack of containers. The apparatus protects the container by spreading the force required to denest the container along much of the flange structure. In addition, the stack of containers above the lowermost container are retained, again along much of the flange structure of the immediately adjacent container.

  • Patent number: 8482602
Abstract: Non-destructive imaging of an object. An imaging head supported on a rotatable arm samples an electric field scattered by the object at a plurality of locations as the arm rotates about a central axis, with the locations corresponding to a defined spatial domain located remotely from the object. One or more processors execute computer-readable instructions for controlling rotation of the arm and generating a multi-dimensional profile representative of the object in the defined spatial domain based on the sampling.
