  • Publication number: 20200253682
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for regulating a temperature of an esophagus when heat or cold is delivered to a left atrium, the method including altering a heat exchange device from an insertable configuration to a heat exchanging configuration which conforms and corresponds with a cross-section of an inside of the esophagus such that the esophagus is maintained in its natural shape and location. In some embodiments the heat exchange device has a heating/cooling balloon which is inflated to be in the heat exchanging configuration. Some alternative embodiments includes altering the configuration of the balloon to conform to or correspond with the cross section of an esophagus by means other than inflation.

  • Publication number: 20160165876
Abstract: A trap for snakes and small animals includes an enclosure with a holding area. A hollow tube is pivotally mounted in the enclosure. The hollow tube pivots between a first tilted position which allows a snake or a small animal to enter a first end of the tube, and a second tilted position which allows the snake or small animal to exit a second end of the tube. The weight of the snake or small animal moving along the hollow tube from the first to the second end causes the tube to pivot between the first and second tilted positions. Once the snake or small animal has exited the second end of the tube and entered a holding area within the trap, the hollow tube pivots back to the first tilted position, which prevents the snake or small animal from escaping the holding area.

  • Patent number: 7985928
Abstract: A microelectronic structure and a method for fabricating the microelectronic structure use a dielectric layer that is located and formed upon a first conductor layer. An aperture is located through the dielectric layer. The aperture penetrates vertically into the first conductor layer and extends laterally within the first conductor layer beneath the dielectric layer while not reaching the dielectric layer, to form an extended and winged aperture. A contiguous via and interconnect may be formed anchored into the extended and winged aperture while using a plating method, absent voids.

  • Patent number: 7261527
Abstract: A scroll compressor has a sealed housing. Within the sealed housing is a first scroll member having a first base and a first generally spiral wrap extending form the first base. A second scroll member has a second base and a second generally spiral wrap extending from the base. The wraps of the first and second scroll members interfit to define compression chambers. A motor drives the second scroll member to orbit relative to the first scroll member. A valve controls the communication of gas between the compression chambers and a discharge pressure chamber. The valve is retained within a valve chamber of the first scroll member. A valve retainer is used to keep the valve within the valve chamber. The valve retainer is attached to the first scroll member by a snap fit connection.

  • Patent number: 7241696
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for depositing a metal layer on an interconnect structure for a semiconductor wafer. In the method, a metal conductor is covered by a capping layer and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is patterned so as to expose the capping layer. The capping layer is then sputter etched to remove the capping layer and expose the metal conductor. In the process of sputter etching, the capping layer is redeposited onto the sidewall of the pattern. Lastly, at least one layer is deposited into the pattern and covers the redeposited capping layer.
