  • Publication number: 20180023665
Abstract: A locking assembly and a socket configured with the locking assembly, wherein the locking assembly is for axially locking a ferrule in a socket. The locking assembly has a block that is able to be positioned and secured in the socket adjacent to the opposing end of the ferrule. The locking block may be a drop-in locking block with a major face that abuts an end of the ferrule to secure it in the socket. The locking block may also have one of a trapezoidal prism, an elongate cam element, or transversely sliding block parts, each of which can abut an end of the ferrule to secure it in the socket.

  • Publication number: 20170331223
Abstract: A system for providing mains power to a cordless appliance, the system comprising a coupler and a complementary coupler on the appliance. The coupler has symmetrically configured concentric power terminals, which are connected to a mains power source in use, and a magnetic coupling region disposed concentrically around an outer periphery of the power terminals. The complementary coupler has complementary power terminals configured to engage with the symmetrically configured concentric power terminals of the coupler, and an engaging region disposed concentrically around an outer periphery of the complementary terminals. A magnetic force provides a mutual attraction between the magnetic coupling region and the engaging region, thereby engaging the power terminals and complementary power terminals and establishing an electrical connection between the coupler and the appliance.

  • Patent number: 9658917
Abstract: Business transactions and the nodes processing the transactions may be monitored. Actions may be applied to one or more nodes when a performance issue is detected. A performance issue may relate to a metric associated with a transaction or node that processes the transaction. If a performance metric does not satisfy a health rule, the policy determines which action should be performed to correct the performance of the node. The corrective action may be applied to a node other than the node at which the performance metric is associated with. For example, if a performance metric for a first node does not satisfy a threshold, the corrective action may be applied to a second node. When a solution applied to a second node is found to correct the problem in first node, the solution may be applied to the other nodes experiencing the same problem.

  • Patent number: 9599191
Abstract: A ferrule 10 for attachment to an end of a wire rope R is disclosed. The ferrule comprises an open end 12 into which the end of the wire rope can be received for securement in the ferrule. The ferrule also comprises an end 14 that opposes the open end. The ferrule further comprises an axis Ax extending between the open and opposing ends. The ferrule is configured at or around at least one of the open and opposing ends such that the ferrule is able to mate with a corresponding formation of a socket 50 into which the ferrule can be received in use. Also disclosed is a socket 50 adapted to the ferrule, and a mechanism for axially locking the ferrule in the socket.

  • Publication number: 20160315837
Abstract: Business transactions and the nodes processing the transactions are monitored and actions are applied to one or more nodes when a performance issue is detected. A performance issue may relate to a metric associated with a transaction or node that processes the transaction. If a performance metric determined from data captured by monitoring does not satisfy a health rule, the policy determines which action should be performed to correct the performance of the node. When a problem is detected for multiple nodes, the present technology may address a subset of the multiple nodes rather than apply an action to each node experiencing the problem. When a solution is found to correct the problem with the subset of nodes, the solution may be applied to the other nodes experiencing the same problem.

  • Patent number: 9353665
Abstract: A system including a reductant source storing reductant, an ammonia generation system configured to generate gaseous ammonia via cavitation, and a gaseous ammonia delivery device in fluid communication with the ammonia generation system and an exhaust system. The system may selectively activate the ammonia generation system responsive to a detected temperature of an exhaust gas of an exhaust system being equal to or below a predetermined value. The ammonia generation system may utilize ultrasonic cavitation or laser cavitation to generate gaseous ammonia to be delivered to the exhaust system responsive to the temperature of the exhaust gas of the exhaust system being equal to or below the predetermined value. If the temperature of the exhaust gas of the exhaust system above the predetermined value, a dosing module to dose reductant to the exhaust system may be activated.

  • Patent number: 9169898
Abstract: A method is disclosed for attaching a ferrule to a dragline rope. The method comprises locating the dragline rope in a die of a die-press, locating over the dragline rope a ferrule that is lined internally with a deformable material, and forcing the ferrule longitudinally through the die. The ferrule is caused to be internally expanded and be extruded back over the dragline rope, causing the lining to deform directly against the dragline rope and fastening the ferrule to the dragline rope.

  • Publication number: 20150260325
Abstract: A coupling assembly includes: a first coupling device including: an insert configured to be coupled to a source or a destination of a fluid; a seal coupled to the insert to create a seal with a mating seal; and a sleeve coupled to the insert, the sleeve including a locking structure; and a second coupling device that is substantially identical to the first coupling device. The first coupling device is coupled to the second coupling device by rotating the second coupling device relative to the first coupling device and moving the second coupling device axially towards the first coupling device to allow the locking structure on the first coupling device to engage the locking structure on the second coupling device and seals of the first and second coupling devices to form an axial seal so that fluid can flow from the line and through the first and second coupling devices.
