  • Publication number: 20160129317
Abstract: A method for making a ball provides a shortened manufacturing cycle and enhanced closeness between bound layers of the ball. The method includes providing a vacuum forming mold with two halves, opening the two halves, laying an outer cover in the vacuum forming mold, placing a yarn-wound bladder in the vacuum forming mold, closing the two halves of the mold, operating the vacuum forming mold to make the outer cover and the yarn-wound bladder combined tightly under vacuum and form a semi-finished ball, transferring the semi-finished ball into a vulcanizing mold, and heating the vulcanizing mold for vulcanization, thereby obtaining the ball. With the method, the rugby ball can be made effectively and have good quality due to the close combination between the layers.

  • Publication number: 20160126890
Abstract: A system includes a circular oscillator suspended by a flexible support structure to a support frame, a drive mechanism configured to induce the circular oscillator into a two-dimensional drive oscillation, where the drive oscillation is modified responsive to a sense oscillation of the circular oscillator caused by an angular rotation of the support frame and the circular oscillator, and a plurality of digital proximity switches disposed around a perimeter of the circular oscillator. During the modified drive oscillation a plurality of the digital proximity switches are configured to switch between an open state and a closed state and generate a time and position output to allow for a determination of each of a plurality of variable oscillation parameters for each oscillation of the modified drive oscillation.

  • Publication number: 20160054370
Abstract: A ground fault detection system based on capacitive sensing suitable for use in detecting a ground fault condition in electronic equipment (such as a PCBA) with a circuit ground electrically isolated from an isolation ground (such as chassis ground). The capacitive sensing system includes a capacitive sensor capacitively coupled to the system isolation ground, and a capacitance/data converter that captures sensor capacitance measurements for conversion to sensor data representative of a ground short. In one embodiment, the capacitive sensor includes a sensor electrode capacitively coupled to the system isolation ground by one of projected capacitance and a floating capacitor (such as 33 pf), and the CDC unit further includes sensor excitation circuitry configured to drive the sensor electrode, such that a sensor capacitance (projected or floating capacitance) is representative of an electrical condition of the system isolation ground.

  • Publication number: 20150343703
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a basketball ensures quick manufacturing and high closeness between layers of the basketball. The method involves providing a vacuum mold with two mold halves, placing an inner cover in the mold halves, placing a fabric-covered bladder in one of the mold halves, closing the mold halves and making a space between the mold halves vacuum, so as to provide vacuum suction that forces the inner cover to be closely adhered to the fabric-covered bladder, thereby forming a middle bladder, placing a surface into the mold halves, placing the middle bladder into one of the mold halves, closing the mold halves and providing vacuum suction in the space again to make the surface closely adhered to the middle bladder, thereby forming a semi-product, placing the semi-product into a vulcanizing mold for heating and vulcanization, and obtaining the finalized basketball.

  • Publication number: 20150263886
Abstract: A method and system for a personal network. The method and system includes plural mobile location-aware client network devices with minimal CPU processing power and memory with a thin client application that uses secure tunneling/threads to send data to/from a home server network device and/or other server network devices on a personal network. The client devices can be voice activated. The home server network device and/or other server network devices do computational services requested by the plural mobile client network devices on demand and/or pre-programmed services. The secure tunneling/threads are also used across cloud and non-cloud communications network to/from other network devices and/or other mobile client network devices via the home network servers or other server network devices.

  • Patent number: 9103673
Abstract: A time-domain inertial sensor comprising: a support structure having an electrode plane parallel to an x-y plane of an x-y-z mutually orthogonal coordinate system, wherein the support structure's largest dimension lies within the x-y plane; a proof mass having a first surface parallel to the x-y plane; wherein the proof mass is springedly coupled to the support structure such that the first surface is separated from the electrode plane by a gap; a driver configured to drive the proof mass to oscillate with respect to the support structure in approximately only the x-direction such that, while oscillating, the gap does not vary significantly; and a first, time-domain, proximity switch disposed to switch from an open state to a closed state each time the proof mass is in a first reference position with respect to the support structure.

  • Publication number: 20150116465
Abstract: A method and system for providing a three-dimensional (3D) display. A variable length z-axis is added to each of plural (x,y) cells in a two-dimensional (2D) Cartesian plane creating plural three-dimensional (3D) cells each with a x, y and z axis. The z-axis includes a variable length light source for each of the plural x-y cells. The z-axis also includes a space vector including time and space information. A 3rd dimension is created by changing a length of the light source. A 2D image cell at (x, y) is moved along the 3D z-axis (x, y, z?) with viewing angle (?) to create a converted 3D image. An original 2D image adding z-axis with a space vector can be viewed as a 3D image on any network device (e.g., smart phone, tablet, wearable device, TV, etc.) without additional devices such as 3D glasses, 3D set-top boxes, etc.
