  • Publication number: 20230064539
Abstract: A voltage regulator assembly can include a voltage regulator to provide power to a processor. The voltage regulator can occupy a volumetric space and includes a voltage regulator component grouping within the volumetric space. The voltage regulator assembly can include a heat dissipater with a heat absorption end portion thermally coupled to the voltage regulator. The heat dissipater can be routed along the voltage regulator and into an enlarged spacing between the voltage regulator component groupings. The heat absorption end portion of the heat dissipater can be positioned within the volumetric space of the voltage regulator. The heat dissipater can include a heat rejection end portion that is routed outside of the volumetric space of the voltage regulator.

  • Patent number: 11593079
Abstract: A system and method for the storage within one or more virtual execution context registers private code representative of processes or other information requiring an enhanced degree of security. The storage of the private code can be performed as a function of the type of code or in response to one or more markers embedded within the code. The time-variant nature of the virtual execution context registers affords a high degree of inherent security for the private code data stored within.

  • Publication number: 20230047341
Abstract: A contact sensor and system for incorporation within clothing and other wearable items to monitor activity at a body surface. The sensor includes a contact membrane having a body surface contacting area and one or more base layers of knitted fabric. The base layer(s) is thicker over an area congruent with the body surface contacting area of the contact membrane. As a result, the contact membrane is urged into the forming of a raised outer surface for projection against a body surface.

  • Publication number: 20230030156
Abstract: A split cycle internal combustion engine comprising a compression cylinder accommodating a compression piston; a combustion cylinder accommodating a combustion piston; a crossover passage between the compression cylinder and the combustion cylinder arranged to provide working fluid to the combustion cylinder; a controller arranged to determine a peak temperature of combustion in the combustion cylinder based on a received indication of a peak temperature of combustion in the combustion cylinder; and a coolant system arranged to regulate a temperature of the working fluid supplied to the combustion cylinder; wherein, in response to determining that the peak temperature of combustion exceeds a selected threshold, the controller is configured to control the coolant system to regulate the temperature of the working fluid supplied to the combustion cylinder so that a peak temperature of combustion in the combustion cylinder is less than the selected threshold.

  • Publication number: 20230025877
Abstract: Example embodiments involve a metrics collection system for collecting software usage metrics from one or more client devices at deployments. A computer, such as a server configured to execute the metrics collection system, collects software usage metrics (e.g., as a metrics submission from a client device) of the software product at the deployment, identifies a metrics type of the software usage metrics collected, assigns the software usage metrics to a metrics category, and calculates and updates a metrics score of the metrics category, based on the software usage metrics collected.

  • Patent number: 11509650
Abstract: Methods and systems for mapping a sharable resource using a one-time password are disclosed. An identifier included in a set of provided credentials uniquely associates the one-time password with an executable within a computing environment that hosts the sharable resource. When credentials are received in association with a mapping request, it is determined whether a supplied username corresponds to a user authorized to access the sharable resource and whether a representation of a supplied password received in association with the mapping request matches a representation of the one-time password. Validating the mapping request provides access to the sharable resource.

  • Patent number: 11494170
Abstract: A proxy compiler may be used within a native execution environment to enable execution of non-native instructions from a non-native execution environment as if being performed within the native execution environment. In particular, the proxy compiler coordinates creation of a native executable that is uniquely tied to a particular non-native image at the time of creation of the non-native image. This allows a trusted relationship between the native executable and the non-native image, while avoiding a requirement of compilation/translation of the non-native instructions for execution directly within the native execution environment.

  • Patent number: 11445283
Abstract: A system is provided for automated configuration of a connection interface between a headset device (e.g., a headset base) and a telephone (e.g., desktop phone). The system includes configuration circuitry designed to automatically perform a sequential analysis of multiple interface configuration options for the connection interface between the headset device and telephone. The analysis of each respective interface configuration option includes (a) accessing stored configuration information defining predefined switch positions for an array of controllable switches (e.g., optical switches) corresponding with the respective interface configuration option, (b) set the array of switches to the predefined switch positions specified by the accessed configuration information, and (c) performing a signal analysis to analyze electrical signals on the connection interface.

  • Publication number: 20220283838
Abstract: A system and method for virtual processor customization based upon the particular workload placed upon the virtual processor by one or more execution contexts within a given program or process. The customization serves to optimize the virtual processor architecture based upon a determination as to the size and/or type or virtual execution registers optimally suited for supporting a given execution context. This results in a time-variant processor architecture which not only provides optimized computational attributes, but also affords a high degree of inherent process security.
