  • Publication number: 20250033021
Abstract: A system for producing hydrogen from water by a thermochemical cycle, for example the sulphuriodine cycle, comprises a reactor having reaction zones for implementing the reactions of the cycle. The reaction zones are interconnected by a fluid circuit and the reactor is configured to direct reaction product(s) from any reaction zone to another reaction zone to provide reactant(s) for the other reaction zone. Fluid is recirculated around the fluid circuit so that reaction product(s) from downstream reaction zone(s) are reused as reactant(s) for upstream reaction zone(s). Heat generated in reaction zone(s) is also reused in other reaction zone(s). The resulting system is energy efficient as well as being efficient in its use of reactants.

  • Publication number: 20250010237
Abstract: The carbon dioxide capture system 100 comprises an absorption tank 102 arranged to store a body of water. The absorption tank 102 comprises a gas inlet 104 via which gas (e.g. atmospheric air) is delivered to the tank 102 to allow for carbon dioxide contained within the gas to dissolve into the body of water. The system 100 further comprises a first fluid delivery means 114 arranged to withdraw water from the absorption tank 102. The withdrawn water may be delivered to a desorption tank 118 via a heat transfer unit 116 to allow for the withdrawn water to be heated to a higher temperature. A heater 122 may also raise the temperature of the water further. The warmed water releases carbon dioxide gas into the desorption tank 118.

  • Patent number: 12092245
Abstract: A swivel fitting assembly includes a female body providing a first connection end portion, and a male fitting body providing a second connection end portion. The male body and the female body are operatively coupled together to form a fluid passage between the first and second connection end portions, and are configured to permit relative rotation of the bodies relative to each other. A swivel lock mechanism is provided to rotationally lock or release the male body relative to the female body in response to a fluid pressure level in the fitting. The swivel lock includes a collar that transitions to a lock state and holds the male body when fluid pressure is at or above a predefined level. The collar transitions to a release state to enable relative rotation of the bodies when the pressure is below the predefined level.

  • Patent number: 11950098
Abstract: A UE can enable a VoWIFI service, receive hidden SSID information, and register with a core network via a RAN. The UE can monitor a first signal strength of a first signal from the RAN. The UE can scan for a second signal from a WLAN, and when found, can measure a second signal strength of the second signal. The UE can determine whether the first signal strength is at or below a first threshold. If so, and if the WLAN is untrusted, the UE can probe it with the hidden SSID information. If the untrusted WLAN responds, the UE can send an access request to an untrusted WLAN access point. The UE can receive, via the untrusted WLAN access point, an authentication challenge from an ePDG. If the UE passes the authentication challenge, the UE can register with the core network via the untrusted WLAN and the ePDG.
