Abstract: Foveated rendering based on user gaze tracking may be adjusted to account for the realities of human vision. Gaze tracking error and state parameters may be determined from gaze tracking data representing a user's gaze with respect to one or more images presented to a user. Adjusted foveation data representing an adjusted size and/or shape of one or more regions of interest in one or more images to be subsequently presented to a user may be generated based on the one or more gaze tracking error or state parameters. Foveated image data representing one or more foveated images may be generated with the adjusted foveation data. The foveated images are characterized by level of detail within the one or more regions of interest and lower level of detail outside the one or more regions of interest. The foveated images may then be presented to the user.

Abstract: Gaze tracking data may be analyzed to determine the onset and duration of a vision interrupting event, such as a blink or saccade. Presentation of images to a viewer may then be suspended during the vision interrupting event and resumed in sufficient time to ensure that the viewer sees the image at the time the vision interrupting event has concluded.

Abstract: Gaze tracking data representing a viewer's gaze with respect to one or more images presented to the viewer is used to generate foveated image data representing one or more foveated images characterized by a higher level of detail within one or more regions of interest and a lower level of detail outside the regions of interest. The image data for portions outside the one or more regions of interest is selectively filtered to reduce visual artifacts due to contrast resulting from the lower level of detail before compositing foveated images for presentation.

Abstract: Gaze tracking data may representing a user's gaze with respect to one or more images transmitted to a user are analyzed to determine one or more regions of interest. Compression of the one or more transmitted images is adjusted so that fewer bits are needed to transmit data for portions of an image outside the one or more regions interest than for portions of the image within the one or more regions of interest.

Abstract: An intelligent controls system for a field-deployable system for producing dry natural gas (NG) and natural gas liquids (NGLs) from a raw gas stream is disclosed. The control system is used to ensure correct specifications of both dry NG (above a desired minimum methane number) and NGLs (below a desired maximum vapor pressure) from any supplied raw natural gas source by controlling three system parameters: inlet gas flow rate, system operating pressure, and separator-reboiler temperature set point. The input parameters include: heat content of the input gas stream, volume of the input gas stream, desired methane number of the NG, and desired vapor pressure of the NGLs. The controls system allows any piece of remote field equipment for performing complex chemical processing to be monitored, controlled, and operated remotely. A large array of distributed field equipment situated around the world can all be controlled primarily through a single interface provided in a central control center.

Abstract: A method for diagnosing an increased risk of a cancer in a subject includes the steps of obtaining a blood sample from the subject and determining, in the blood sample, a level of two or more of the polypeptides selected from the group consisting of VNN2, KCNJ15, SERPINB2, CREB5, ICAM3, NFE2, MNDA, PXN, FCAR, TSHZ3, NRG1, ALOX5AP, PAD14, PAD12, QPC, VNN1, SERPINB10, CLEC4D, TREM1, CLEC4E, CD82, MGAM, TMEM45B and VNN3, wherein an increase in the level of two or more of the polypeptides compared to a control level is indicative of an increased risk of cancer in the subject.

Abstract: An aircraft gas turbine engine has first and second electrical harnesses formed from respective first and second flexible printed circuit boards which each provides a plurality of spaced conductive tracks. The conductive tracks carry signal types which either (i) provide engine control and can cause hazardous engine conditions in the event of their failure, (ii) detect or prevent hazardous conditions of the engine, or (iii) are not of type (i) and/or of type (ii). The first flexible printed circuit board provides all the conductive tracks which carry signals of type (i) or the first flexible printed circuit board provides all the conductive tracks which carry signals of type (ii). The second flexible printed circuit board provides all the remaining conductive tracks.
