  • Publication number: 20200035284
Abstract: A Magnetic Random Access Memory (MRAM) array has a plurality of main MRAM bitcells and a plurality of canary MRAM bitcells in which a first Magnetic Tunnel Junction (MTJ) diameter of each of the main MRAM bitcells is larger than any second MTJ diameter of any of the canary bitcells. Test circuitry is configured to periodically poll the canary bitcells to determine if values stored at the canary bitcells match expected canary values. When the values do not match the expected canary values, the test circuitry is configured to indicate a presence of a magnetic field, and in response to determining the presence of the magnetic field, continue to poll the canary bitcells until the values match the expected canary values which indicates the magnetic field is no longer present.

  • Publication number: 20200026560
Abstract: Techniques for managing virtualized entities in computing systems. In a method embodiment, processing commences upon receiving I/O activity trace data associated with virtualized entities running in a computing system. Specific I/O activity attributes are extracted from the I/O activity trace data, and the I/O activity attributes are used to form a workload classification model. The workload classification model serves to assign one or more workload classifications to a respective one or more observed workloads running on the computing system. Based on the determined workload classification or classifications, recommended resource allocation operations are formed for further consideration. Considered resource allocation operations include migrations of virtualized entities from a source computing resource to a target computing resource.

  • Publication number: 20190321551
Abstract: Disclosed here is a computer-based device and related methodology that manages use of a dual-mode insulin infusion device. The infusion device operates in a manual insulin delivery mode or an automated closed-loop insulin delivery mode. The methodology receives closed-loop pump data for a user of the infusion device, the closed-loop pump data including data indicating basal insulin delivered by the infusion device during operation in the automated closed-loop insulin delivery mode for at least one defined period of time. The methodology analyzes the closed-loop pump data to generate updated basal rate data for the user, and generates, from the updated basal rate data, a recommendation to adjust a manual-mode basal rate setting of the infusion device. In certain scenarios, the infusion device is controlled such that the manual-mode basal rate setting is adjusted in accordance with the recommendation.

  • Publication number: 20190321553
Abstract: A medical device system and related method of automatically adjusting parameters of an insulin delivery controller of an insulin infusion device are disclosed. The methodology obtains therapy-related data associated with operation of the insulin infusion device for a number of days in the past, including sensor glucose data associated with glucose levels of the user, and meal data associated with identified meals. The obtained therapy-related data is processed to generate a suitable pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) model of the user, wherein the PK/PD model fits at least some of the sensor glucose data obtained for the user. The PK/PD model can be used to calculate at least one adjusted parameter of the insulin delivery controller, based on additional therapy-related data associated with further operation of the insulin infusion device. The insulin delivery controller can be instructed or controlled to adjust its settings in accordance with the model-calculated parameters.

Abstract: Infusion systems, infusion devices, and related operating methods are provided. An exemplary method of operating an infusion device to deliver a bolus amount of fluid influencing a physiological condition in a body of a user involves identifying, based on measurement values for the physiological condition, a residual value for the physiological condition resulting from the bolus amount of the fluid and determining an updated ratio for a subsequent bolus by adjusting an initial ratio influencing the bolus amount to compensate for the residual value. The updated ratio may be stored in a data storage element for use in determining a subsequent bolus amount in lieu of the initial ratio value.

  • Publication number: 20190235903
Abstract: Examples described herein include distributed computing systems having a system traffic analyzer. The system traffic analyzer may receive sampled packets sent to a network from a number virtual machines hosted by computing nodes in the distributed computing system. The packets may be sampled, for example, by network flow monitors in hypervisors of the computing nodes. The system traffic analyzer may request co-location of virtual machines having greater than a threshold amount of traffic between them. The request for co-location may result in the requested virtual machines being hosted on a same computing node, which may in some examples conserve network bandwidth.
