  • Publication number: 20090211053
Abstract: Tap mounting assemblies for reducing loads on the threaded end portions of a tap. Some exemplary embodiments employ a spring such as Belleville washers to bias apart the tap and a mounting plate, and some embodiments provide visual indication of proper tightening. Some exemplary embodiments allow angular adjustment of a portion of the tap assembly without disturbing the tapered thread engagement of the tap on the mounting surface. Exemplary embodiments may employ a base plate between a jack screw and a mounting surface.

  • Publication number: 20090140856
Abstract: The safety system comprises an electro-mechanical locking device (110) moveable between an unlocked position and a locked position. When the electro-mechanical locking device is in the locked position and is located on an energy isolation element (120) of a plant, energy is isolated at the isolation element. A mobile unit (130) is adapted to communicate with the electro-mechanical locking device in order to move the electro-mechanical locking device between the locked and unlocked position. When the electro-mechanical locking device is moved to the locked position a confirmation signal (260) is communicated to the mobile unit confirming that the electro-mechanical locking device is locked.

  • Publication number: 20090142655
Abstract: A stacked battery has at least two cell segments arranged in a stack. Each cell segment may have a first electrode unit having a first active material electrode, a second electrode unit having a second active material electrode, and an electrolyte layer between the active material electrodes. One or more gaskets may be included in each cell segment to seal the electrolyte within the cell segment. The electrode units may be “dish shaped” and may contain a pressure equalization valve to reduce electrode unit deflection and improve pressure equalization between cell segments. The pressure equalization valve may allow a gas to diffuse through adjacent cell segments and may substantially prevent electrolyte from diffusing through.

  • Publication number: 20070286940
Abstract: A vegetable fat composition comprises glycerides, wherein the triglyceride content of the composition is: 6 to 20% SSS, 5 to less than 20% SUS 5 to less than 25% SSU 10 to 39% SU2 and at least 20% U3, wherein S is a saturated fatty acid residue having 16 to 24 carbon atoms and U is an unsaturated fatty acid residue having at least 18 carbon atoms and all percentages are by weight based on the total triglycerides present in the composition, the weight ratio SUS/SSU is between 0.5 and 2.0, the weight ratio of (saturated fatty acid residues having 18 to 24 carbon atoms)/(saturated fatty acid residues having 16 carbon atoms) in the total S content of the triglycerides is less than 0.2, and the triglycerides contain less than 3% of arachidic and behenic acid residues based on the total fatty acid residue content of the triglycerides, and wherein the saturated fatty acid residue content of the triglycerides is less than 45% by weight of the total fatty acid residues in the triglycerides.

  • Patent number: 7299823
Abstract: A connector (1) connects an air-inflatable mattress (4) which alternately inflatable cells (11, 12) to a pump. Air-supply lines (13, 14) from the pump are attached to male parts (2) of connector (1). Air-supply lines (15, 16) from mattress (4) connect to passages (17, 18) of female parts (3) of the connector (1). When the male parts (2) and the female parts (3) are engaged, supply lines (13, 14) are in fluid communication with fluid lines (15, 16) via passages (17, 18) in the female part (3). When the male parts (2) are removed from the connector (1) to disconnect the air supply, one-way valves (7) seal the air-supply lines (13, 14) and expose a cross-connect port (8) in interconnecting the female part passages (17, 18). Thus cells (11, 12) are interconnected and the pressure is equalized throughout the mattress (4). The invention provides a self-sealing automatic transport mode connection system upon disengagement of the male parts (2) from the mattress (4), thus eliminating user error.
