  • Patent number: 10795737
Abstract: Generic Distributed Processing Unit (DPU) for Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) provides a Machine to Machine (M2M) interface that is fast, flexible, redundant and scalable. It allows the handling of unlikely edge cases that Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) cannot. It also allows the processing of excessive amounts of ancillary data that are not processed easily with an HMI arrangement. In the digital ecosystem, any like DPU can back up any other, making the system exceedingly robust.

  • Publication number: 20200287710
Abstract: A system gets entropy from one side of a communications channel to the other by using methods to deterministically change the expansion array. This can be encrypted with anything as the payload. The messages for expansion are encrypted with a one-time-pad (OTP) so they cannot be discovered. A purpose is to use OTP encryption to distribute entropy to two or more sides of a communications channel from a third server that delivers TRNG (True Random Number Generation).

  • Publication number: 20200215256
Abstract: A collapsible liquid reservoir has a flexible side wall having a lower step, a middle step and an upper step. Each of the steps includes a riser segment and a tread segment. The riser and tread segments are pivotably connected to one another at an external hinge. When the step is collapsed its segments define an acute step angle between them of about 23°. When the step is expanded its segments define an obtuse step angle between them of about 115°. The tread of at least one step is pivotably connected to the riser of an adjacent step at an internal hinge. The step segments joined to the internal hinge are symmetrical about a bisector of that hinge. The reservoir has a truncated pyramid shape defined by a generally square base and four trapezoidal side panels joined to one another at corners.

  • Publication number: 20200186331
Abstract: A message is embedded within an entropy stream. The message is encrypted using a onetime pad (OTP) and thus looks like part of the entropy string since the OTP encrypted messages is, as long as the “pad” material and message content are known, itself random to the observer. The encrypted message contains information used to identify and/or point to relevant information in another part of the entropy stream. For example, the OTP-encrypted message may indicate the number of units of the message, and point to a position in another part of the stream where another message is located. The stream may be randomly and deterministically expanded.

  • Patent number: 10596605
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for cleaning an oil and gas well riser section or assembly. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to an improved method and apparatus for cleaning oil and gas well riser sections wherein a specially configured cap or pair of caps are fitted to the ends of the riser which enable pressure washing cleaning tools (or a camera) to be inserted into and through the riser cleaner fluid continuously recirculates so that relatively small volume of cleaning fluid (for example between about 700 and 1,000 gallons) is required. The cleaning process uses a volume of cleaning fluid that is discharged from the riser pipe at a relatively high temperature of about between 100 and 180° F. Such a high temperature cleaning fluid could possibly damage the pump that is used for supplying pressurized fluid to the cleaning tool.

  • Patent number: 10562080
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for cleaning an oil and gas well riser section or assembly on location offshore that includes a larger diameter central pipe and a plurality of smaller diameter pipes that are spaced radially away from the central larger diameter pipe. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to an improved method and apparatus for cleaning oil and gas well riser sections wherein a specially configured cap or pair of caps are fitted to the ends of the riser which enable pressure washing cleaning tools (or a camera) to be inserted into and through a selected one of the pipes including either a smaller diameter of the pipes or the central larger diameter pipe and wherein the cap continuously collects spent cleaning fluid and debris, allowing the cleaning process to be done on location without transporting the riser section back onshore.

  • Patent number: 10465655
Abstract: Systems and methods enable yaw offsets on wind turbines in a wind farm. A wind turbine yaw controller receives a present wind direction signal from a local wind direction sensor and aligns the wind turbine in a substantially perpendicular direction based upon the present wind direction signal. A yaw controller is retrofitted between the wind direction sensor and the yaw controller to provide an adjusted wind direction signal to the yaw controller based upon the present wind direction signal and a yaw offset signal. An offset table relating yaw offsets with wind direction signal values may be stored locally at a wind turbine or at a site controller in communication with the wind tribune. Each wind turbine in the wind farm may be retrofitted with the yaw controller to enhance the power output of the wind farm by adjusting the wake effect between wind turbines of the wind farms.

  • Patent number: 10435990
Abstract: A method of cleaning a blow-out preventer stack that is preferably attached to an oil and gas well drilling platform including an initial disconnecting of the stack from the well so that it can be lifted. The stack is then preferably lifted vertically a selected distance. The method further includes lowering a water pressure cleaning tool into the stack bore using a hose, the tool preferably being attached to a lower end portion of the hose. Pressurized cleaning fluid is transmitted to the cleaning tool via the hose. A collection vessel is preferably placed below the stack and spaced from the stack so that cleaning fluid and cleaned debris exit the stack bore or interior and enter the vessel during cleaning. The method includes continuously discharging the fluid and debris from the vessel via a discharge outlet of the vessel.

The system includes a wind farm controller configured to monitor a power characteristic at a high-side of a generator step-up (GSU) transformer. The high-side of the GSU transformer is coupled to a point-of-interconnect (POI) that provides power from the wind farm to a power grid. The system also includes an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) configured to monitor a voltage of a power bus associated with a low-side of the GSU transformer, the power bus being provided power from a plurality of feeder groups. Each of the plurality of feeder groups includes a plurality of wind turbines. The AVR can be further configured to regulate the power characteristic at the high-side of the GSU transformer to within a predetermined range of amplitudes based on the voltage of the power bus.
