Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and techniques relating to wired communication channels, such as telephone lines in a bundled telephone cable. In some implementations, a system includes telephone lines bundled together, electronic equipment at a first location includes a first transceiver device for each of the telephone lines, where each first transceiver device at the first location is configured to coordinate transmissions over a respective telephone line coupled with the first transceiver device; and second transceiver devices coupled respectively with the telephone lines at second locations, such that each second transceiver device is respectively paired with a first transceiver device at the first location; each pair of the first and second transceiver devices is configured to force transmission on a telephone line connecting the pair when another pair of the first and second transceiver devices estimates a signal to noise ratio on the telephone line connecting the other pair.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a technique is provided to cluster model prior realizations into flow-equivalent sets. Thereby, far fewer representatives are identified from each cluster that can still predict the same range of future production reliably. Only representatives of each realization cluster that indicate unique forecasts will undergo the computationally expensive process of history matching.

Abstract: An electronic payment device is disclosed which is portable and makes use of existing wireless connections for data transfer. The device described herein makes it possible to obtain information from different data sources such as credit cards with magnetic stripe. The device incorporates anti-manipulation means which detect any improper or unauthorized access to the device, so that a circuit which is connected to the central unit and powered by the system supply device or an auxiliary system is monitored to determine that the circuit is closed and not altered in any way, which would occur on attempting to access the device as the fine thread mesh comprising the flexible circuit would be affected by an unauthorized or forced access.

The system prescribes alterations of one or more controls of a natural resource. The system applies the altered controls to the natural resource wells. The system collects measurement data of the natural resource wells that responds to the applied altered controls. The system determines, based on the collected measurement data, the natural resource subsurface attributes and compositions that pertain to the natural resource.

Abstract: Systems and methods for camera and inertial sensor integration are described. The systems and methods may include receiving inertial data from one or more inertial sensors; processing the inertial data with an inertial sensor algorithm to produce an inertial sensor position and orientation; receiving camera data from one or more cameras; processing the camera data and the inertial sensor position with a camera sensor algorithm to produce a camera position and orientation; receiving the inertial sensor position and the camera position in a Kalman filter to determine position or orientation of a user wearing a virtual reality headset; and providing the user's position or orientation to the virtual reality headset. An apparatus that incorporates these systems and methods is also set forth.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a device, system, and techniques for separating power line communication (PLC) signals, produced by a PLC modem, from AC mains power, which powers the PLC modem. In some aspects a universal PLC splitter is described that includes an AC mains power input with a line connection, a neutral connection, and a protective earth connection, and a filter coupling the line connection, the neutral connection, and the protective earth connection of the AC mains power input to a line connector, a neutral connector, and a protective earth connector of a socket. The filter suppresses the PLC signals on the AC mains power connections, and provides AC mains power to the socket to power the PLC modem under test. The PLC signals from the PLC modem are coupled to test signal ports for connection to test instruments.
