  • Publication number: 20180050798
Abstract: A tethered UAV (102) is disclosed. The UAV (102) may carry a payload (104). The payload may include camera, radio mast, or sensors. Power supply to the UAV (102) via a tether cable (108) from a ground station (106) may be varied using a reconfigurable power converter. Further, the UAV (102) may enter an autopilot mode based on a disruption of power supply from a power source at the ground station (106), low energy level of the power source, and a temperature of the power converter. In the autopilot mode, power may be supplied to the UAV (102) from an on-board battery and wireless communication may be initiated between the UAV (102) and the ground station (106) via a network (110).

  • Publication number: 20170327164
Abstract: A composite climb structure includes a climber, a horizontal planar structure, and a ramp coupled on to a base plate. The horizontal planar structure and the ramp are collinearly situated on opposite sides of the climber. The climber is pressed by a robotic vehicle moving on to it from the horizontal planar structure, the climber being pressed to a final position, wherein the angle of elevation (BOC) of the climber is same as the angle of elevation of the ramp, thereby facilitating traversal of the robotic vehicle from the horizontal planar structure on to the ramp.

  • Publication number: 20170327359
Abstract: A lifter system based traversal mechanism for a robot includes detection of the robot at a predetermined distance from a movable platform. The movable platform is part of the lifter system. Teeth orientation of cog wheels of the robot are changed to match teeth orientation of teeth of a fixed teeth structure of the movable platform. The movable platform is moved in to a predetermined proximity of the robot so that teeth are engaged. The movable platform takes the robot from a first position to a second position. On reaching the second position the robot is disengaged from the movable platform.

  • Patent number: 9662977
Abstract: A Driver State Monitoring System prevents any casualty on the road because of drowsiness while driving. It is an in-vehicle, vision-based electronic system for automobiles. It utilizes a camera installed on the vehicle facing towards the driver. It captures the edge-based face features of the driver. Thereafter, the real time image processor extracts the desired image from the image and estimates the correct position of the eye, the nose and the head orientation of the driver's face based on the predetermined values. The signal generator generates a warning signal when there is any abnormality detected based on the output of the status examination result generated by the real time image processor. These signals can be can be an acoustic signal, a videft signal, a photonic signal or a haptic signal.
