  • Publication number: 20230296625
Abstract: A method of determining a likelihood of liver transplant can be performed on a subject that has consumed acetaminophen at an initial time point and has been diagnosed with hepatotoxicity. The amount of CXCL14 in the blood samples to the series of time points can be measured to determine a trend in the amount of the CXCL14 in the blood samples over a time period beginning at the initial time point and continuing through the series of time points. The trend can be: (a) the amount of CXCL14 increases over the time period - the treatment is determined to be a liver transplant; (b) the amount of CXCL14 increases and then becomes substantially constant the treatment is determined to be a liver transplant; or (c) the amount of CXCL14 has a maximum (> 3000) and then decreases - the treatment is determined to exclude a liver transplant.

  • Publication number: 20230297430
Abstract: Machine-learning model retargeting techniques are described. In one example, training data is generated by extrapolating feedback data collected from entities. These techniques supports an ability to identify a wider range of thresholds and corresponding entities than those available in the feedback data. This also provides an opportunity to explore additional thresholds than those used in the past through extrapolating operations outside of a range used to define a segment, for which, the feedback data is captured. These techniques also support retargeting of a machine-learning model for a secondary label that is different than a primary label used to initially train the machine-learning model.

  • Patent number: 11747885
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for saving power in a Universal Serial Bus (USB) repeater/re-timer between a USB host and a peripheral device by intercepting packets received from the host to predict the direction of data traffic to selectively turn off/on circuitry of a peripheral port used to receive packets from the peripheral device. If a host port determines that the host is sending a start-of-frame (SOF) packet, the direction of data flow is from the host to the peripheral device, and the repeater may turn off the peripheral port such as squelch circuitry. If the host port determines that the host is sending a non-SOF packet, such as an address token that precedes a host-to-peripheral-device data transfer or a peripheral-device-to-host data transfer, the direction of data flow is anticipated to be from the peripheral device to the host, and the repeater may re-enable the deactivated circuitry of the peripheral port.
