  • Publication number: 20150078164
Abstract: A method of operating a data network may include establishing a data path through the data network between a routing gateway and service provider equipment providing a data service. Moreover, the data service may be provided for use at the routing gateway over the data path during a data session. A request may be received from the service provider equipment where the request defines a data flow characteristic for the data path between the routing gateway and the service provider equipment providing the data service. The data flow characteristic may then be transmitted to a network element along the data path between the routing gateway and the service provider equipment. A request from service provider equipment can include an allowed bandwidth or prioritization. Related methods, data networks, data service providers, routing gateways, and computer program products are also discussed.

  • Publication number: 20140236961
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products index digital scenes in digital media. A uniform resource locator is assigned to each different digital scene within the digital media. The uniform resource locator uniquely identifies a resource from which each different digital scene may be retrieved. Individual scenes may thus be retrieved, thus conserving bandwidth and memory.

  • Patent number: 8782426
Abstract: Security is provided to a communication device configured to accept a physical key device. A public mode of operation is activated for the communication device when the physical key is not accepted by the personal communication device. The public mode of operation allows access to a first set of functions of the communication device, where the public mode of operation prohibits access to a second set of functions of the communication device. A personal mode of operation is activated for the communication device when the key is accepted by the personal communication device, where the personal mode of operation allows access to the first set of functions and the second set of functions of the communication device. A private mode may also be activated upon authentication of a user of the device, where the private mode allows access to a third set of functions.

  • Patent number: 8767717
Abstract: Disclosed is a device in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) that provides IMS services to terminating non-IP (TNIP) devices. The method includes receiving a message to register a Public User Identity (PUID) at a TNIP device at a network-based device, the TNIP device being at an E.164 routing address, establishing, in a network device accepting communications where to send sessions destined for a PUID and providing information where to send sessions, the routing address as a final destination of sessions to the PUID based on the registration and an IP address of a network device with routing functionality based on telephone numbers as immediate destinations and using information from the registration to route to the TNIP device, after providing IMS services, using the relationship between the PUID, the routing address and the IP address of the network device with routing functionality based on telephone numbers.

  • Patent number: 8744118
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for indexing a digital scene in digital media. The digital media is stored in memory and a uniform resource locator is assigned to a digital scene within the digital media. The uniform resource locator uniquely identifies a resource from which the digital scene may be retrieved, and the uniform resource locator also uniquely identifies the digital scene from other scenes in the digital media. When a query is received for the uniform resource locator, then the digital scene is retrieved from the memory.

  • Patent number: 8739200
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for advanced distribution of digital media. A list of subscriber addresses to a new release of a digital media is retrieved at a server associated with a producer. An electronic copy of the digital media is sent from the server to a subscriber's address in the list of subscribers. The electronic copy of the digital media is stored in a memory of a device and may be retrieved at a specified date. The memory may have a partitioned portion that is dedicated to new releases of media offered by the producer. A cost associated with the device and/or the digital media is subsidized by the producer, such that only the producer, the subscriber, and/or a service/network provider have access to the partitioned portion of the memory.
