  • Patent number: 6193387
Abstract: A lighted fishing reel is provided according to the invention. In one embodiment, the lighted fishing reel includes a fishing reel capable of paying out and taking in a fishing line and having a fishing line spool flanked by side flanges and associated flange covers. A bulb is provided with, a socket capable of holding the bulb and having contacts for communicating an electrical current to the bulb. The socket is operably attached to a portion of a fishing reel structure. The portion of the fishing reel structure is selected from the group consisting of a flange cover of the flange covers or both flange covers of the flange covers. A battery is affixed to the fishing reel and a pair of wires extend between the battery and the bulb. Wherein electricity may be permitted to flow through the bulb, illuminating the fishing reel.

  • Patent number: 4588088
Abstract: A method and container assembly for storing toxic material. An original container of toxic material is positioned within a first container and is insulated therefrom by sealant material. The first container is in turn inserted into an outside container and spaced therefrom by additional sealant material. Relief valves are positioned on the containers to allow complete filling of the space between containers with sealant material. A cap is sealingly mounted to the outside container and is fixedly secured to the first container.

  • Patent number: 3965605
Abstract: A fishhook tieing device including a handle, a spring clamp and a threading device. The spring clamp is attached to one end of the handle for grasping a hook. The threading device includes a spring wire loop end which is readily compressed to be pushed through the eye of the hook and thereafter expands to its original size whereby a fishing line end may be easily extended through the loop. Extraction of the loop end then pulls the line through the hook eye whereby the line may then be tied to the hook.

  • Patent number: 3931953
Abstract: The valve is comprised of a substantially oblong chamber having one end thereof extending transversely into a conduit having a semi-circular slot formed therein. The portion of the chamber extending into the conduit is provided with a through passage in alignment with the conduit and a valve disc is movably mounted in the chamber for transverse movement relative to the conduit between an operative position in alignment with the conduit and an inoperative position outside of said conduit. An inflatable tube is secured in a peripheral groove in the circumference of the disc and is disposed in fluid communication with the interior of a hollow valve stem secured to the disc and extending outwardly of the chamber. A piston is connected to the valve stem for reciprocating movement in a double acting fluid cylinder and the extreme end of the valve stem extends into a chamber connectable to a source of air under pressure by a suitable valve to control the inflation of the inflatable tube.
