  • Patent number: 12240340
Abstract: Techniques control a utility vehicle. Such techniques involve storing electric power in a lithium battery of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve operating a motor controller of the utility vehicle in a normal mode in which the motor controller provides electric power from a lithium battery of the utility vehicle to an electric motor of the utility vehicle to turn one or more ground engaging members of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve, after operating the motor controller in the normal operating mode, operating the motor controller in a walkaway mode in which the motor controller configures the electric motor to provide braking torque.

  • Publication number: 20250023369
Abstract: A charge control system includes a lithium battery configured to provide lithium battery power to a set of electrical loads, a user signaling device, and control circuitry coupled with the lithium battery and the user signaling device. The control circuitry is operative to: (A) detect availability of charge from an external charger, (B) in response to detection of the availability of charge from the external charger and prior to controlling the external charger to adjust the amount of charge stored by the lithium battery, perform a set of pre-charging assessment operations, and (C) based on the set of pre-charging assessment operations, provide a user notification via the user signaling device, the user notification indicating whether the lithium battery is properly setup for charge adjustment. When the user signaling device generates the user notification, the user is informed that the utility vehicle is properly connected to the external charger.

  • Patent number: 12180786
Abstract: In one or more arrangements, a retractable screen system is provided. The system includes a roller tube having an exterior surface. A screen is connected to the roller tube and an upper edge of the screen. The screen rolls up around the exterior surface of the roller tube when the roller tube is rotated in a first direction, thereby retracting the screen, and unroll the screen from roller tube when the roller tube is rotated the opposite direction, thereby deploying the screen. In one or more arrangements, the retractable screen system has a roller tube that may be adjusted in length, circumference, and/or shape of the roller edge, for example, to help prevent or mitigate undesirable artifacts that may otherwise become visible stretching of screen material, wrinkling/creasing of screen material, sagging of a roller tube, uneven weight distribution or tension, and/or, bunching of screen materials on a roller tube.

  • Patent number: 12172736
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a processor and an actuator. The processor may be configured to generate a control signal in response to an actual path of a boat determined in response to signals received from GNSS satellites and a centerline path of the boat. The actuator may be configured to move a control surface mounted on a centerline of the boat in response to the control signal. The processor may be configured to calculate the control signal by comparing the actual path of the boat relative to the centerline path. The control signal may be calculated by the processor in real time as the actual path of the boat changes in response to a deviation from the centerline path caused by a force acting on the boat. The control surface may provide adjustments to the actual path of the boat to center the actual path axially along the centerline path.

  • Patent number: 12104567
Abstract: A self-contained hydroelectricity generating system to produce an amount of usable electrical energy has primary and secondary cisterns containing a motive fluid. A hydro-expeditor tower assembly includes a plurality of spiral hydro-expeditor towers each disposed in fluid communication with the primary cistern, a portion of the motive fluid flows from the primary cistern into and through each of the hydro-expeditor towers increasing the velocity thereof. A hydroelectric generator assembly has a plurality of hydroelectric generator units each disposed in fluid communication with a corresponding spiral hydro-expeditor tower, the motive fluid discharged from each of the spiral hydro-expeditor towers contacts the turbine of a corresponding hydroelectric generator unit resulting in generation of the amount of usable electrical energy. The motive fluid from the hydroelectric generator units is discharged into the secondary cistern and is then transferred to the primary cistern for reuse through the system.

  • Publication number: 20240294586
Abstract: Compositions and methods are disclosed that relate to the discovery of citrullinated oligopeptides of 9-14 amino acids or 9-18 amino acids, comprising peptide sequences derived from the polypeptide sequence of human tenascin-C (TNC) containing citrullination-dependent immunological epitopes that, remarkably, are antigen-specifically recognized by both autoantibodies and CD4+ T cells from human subjects having rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The citrullinated TNC (citTNC) oligopeptides are useful for isolating autoantibodies from, and detecting autoantibodies in, biological fluids from subjects having or suspected of having RA. Also described are uses of citTNC oligopeptides to prepare compositions for induction of citTNC autoantigen-specific immunological tolerance, including tolerogens and citTNC-specific Treg cells.
