  • Patent number: 8182108
Abstract: A retractable leash light has a light housing; and a handle formed on the light housing for handgrip. The light has an LED element and a switch. The light is connected to an electric circuit. A crank mechanism is mounted on the light housing, and the crank mechanism has a knob pivotally mounted to a crank arm of the crank mechanism. The crank mechanism also has a crank wheel mechanically connected to the crank arm of the crank mechanism. A generator is connected to the crank wheel. Rotation of the crank wheel powers the generator to generate electricity output from the generator. The generator is connected to the electric circuit for powering the electric circuit. A leash is mounted on a leash spool. The leash spool is mounted within the light housing. The leash is retractable into the light housing and extendable from the light housing.

  • Patent number: 7766228
Abstract: A system for the sale of consumer goods, wherein the system comprises a device for providing a customer with a non-validated token that represents an article of merchandise. The article is to be paid for by the customer at a checkout unit when the token is checked by said unit. Said checkout unit has a means for providing a validated token that bears a transaction code. Said checkout unit has a means for communicating with an article dispensing device and providing the article dispensing device with said transaction code after the article has been paid for. The validated token is used to obtain the purchased article from the article dispensing device with the aid of a comparator device within the article dispensing device which compares the transaction code on the validated token with the transaction code communicated by said communication device, wherein the article dispensing device delivers the purchased article when there is a defined code correspondence.

  • Publication number: 20100154397
Abstract: Exhaust gas systems and methods are disclosed. A system includes an extensible duct assembly to communicate an exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine to an exhaust gas receiver. An angularly positionable ball joint assembly may be coupled to the duct assembly to fluidly and sealably couple the duct assembly to at least one of the outlet and the exhaust receiver. A method of installing an exhaust gas system includes presenting a first portion of the exhaust gas system to one of an exhaust gas outlet and an exhaust gas receiver, and positioning a second portion of the exhaust gas system relative to the other of the exhaust gas outlet and the exhaust gas receiver. The first portion and the second portion may be adjusted to achieve an alignment, and the first portion and the second portion may be sealably coupled to fixedly retain the alignment.
