  • Publication number: 20090000430
Abstract: A hand tool locking device for a hand tool includes a switch member having a shank which is rotatably inserted in a recess defined in the head of the hand tool and the shank includes a convex and curved surface and a flat surface. A pawl and a spring are received in a passage defined in an inside of the yoke of the head of the hand tool. The pawl has teeth defined in a first end thereof and the teeth are pushed to engage with engaging teeth of the pivotable tool head when the convex and curved surface of the shank pushes a second end of the pawl toward the tool head. When the shank is rotated to let the flat surface to contact the second end of the pawl, the teeth of the pawl are disengaged from the engaging teeth of the pivotable tool head.

  • Publication number: 20080295652
Abstract: A wrench includes a handle and an open-end with two jaws and each jaw has a driving surface. Each driving surface has a contacting area and two yielding areas. The contacting area is located between the two yielding areas and includes a contact portion and two notches. The contact portion is located between the two notches, and two extension areas each are connected between the yielding area and the notch corresponding thereto. A corner is formed at a joint area of the contact portion and an inside of the notch so as to bite a rounded fastener head. The contact portions are matched with straight sides of a normal fastener head.

  • Publication number: 20080245196
Abstract: A monkey wrench includes a handle, a head, stationary jaw, a movable jaw and a jaw-moving element. The head is formed at an end of the handle and made with a side, a groove in the side and an opening in communication with the groove. The stationary jaw is formed on the head and made with a first nut-contacting face, a second nut-contacting face next to the first nut-contacting face, a bulge on the first nut-contacting face and a recess next to the bulge. The movable jaw is movably disposed in the groove and formed with a nut-contacting face and a bulge on the nut-contacting face thereof. The jaw-moving element is disposed in the opening and engaged with the movable jaw so that the jaw-moving element is operable to move the movable jaw relative to the stationary jaw.

  • Publication number: 20080196557
Abstract: An open-end wrench having an open-end driving head and first and second jaw clips extending from two sides thereof. A maximum width W between outer edges of the two jaw clips is equal to 130 to 180% of a mouth width S between two opposite jaw end surfaces of the jaw clips. A distance from an inner corner at a junction between one of the jaw end surfaces and the connection end surface to an outer end surface of the jaw clip is defined as a stress region width T1. A length of a transversal phantom center line from one of the jaw end surfaces of the jaw clips to the outer edge of the jaw clip is defined as a jaw width T2 smaller than T1. Thus, the nut can be greatly wrenched in the limited space by limiting the ratio of W to S, and it is possible to prevent the structure from being broken.
