  • Patent number: 11678354
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, configuration information including multiple transmission configuration indication (TCI) states associated with a control resource set (CORESET). The UE may receive, from the base station, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a region associated with the CORESET, wherein the PDCCH includes at least one control channel element (CCE). The UE may perform blind decoding for multiple configured PDCCH candidates based at least in part on a resource element group (REG) bundle included in the at least one CCE, wherein the multiple configured PDCCH candidates are associated with one or more of the multiple TC states associated with the CORESET. Accordingly, the UE may identify the PDCCH transmitted by the base station based at least in part on the blind decoding.

  • Patent number: 11672011
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter node may determine a set of desired transmit beams to use for transmissions during a channel occupancy time (COT), wherein each transmit beam in the set of desired transmit beams is associated with an energy detection threshold (EDT). The transmitter node may configure a sensing beam associated with a directional listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, wherein the sensing beam is associated with an EDT that is at least as strict as a strictest EDT associated with the set of desired transmit beams. The transmitter node may transmit using the set of desired transmit beams during the COT, wherein the COT is initiated based at least in part on an indication that the directional LBT procedure succeeded using the sensing beam. • Patent number: 11671859
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may explicitly or implicitly identify one or more parameters associated with a user equipment (UE), and may classify the UE into a cluster of UEs based on identifying the one or more parameters. The base station may determine a customized function block based on classifying the UE into the cluster of UEs. For example, the base station may determine the customized function block based on determining whether the cluster of UEs is associated with a pre-trained customized function block. The base station may then transmit the customized function block to the UE. The UE may receive the customized function block and may process one or more signals at the UE based on the received customized function block.

  • Patent number: 11665700
Abstract: Aspects are provided which improve LBT by associating contention windows with transmission burst lengths and by allowing contention windows and maximum burst lengths to be adjusted based on interference activity. For downlink, a UE receives a PG for a downlink transmission from a base station indicating a CCA length based on a contention window size associated at least with a burst length for the downlink transmission. The UE performs, after receiving the pre-grant, a CCA based on the CCA length, transmits an APG to the base station when the CCA is successful, and receives the downlink transmission in response to the APG. For uplink, the base station performs a CCA based on a contention window associated at least with a burst length for an uplink transmission, transmits an uplink grant to the UE when the CCA is successful, and receives the uplink transmission in response to the uplink grant.

  • Patent number: 11659593
Abstract: Various procedures associated with autonomous uplink (AUL) are disclosed. In order to address the mismatch between listen before talk (LBT) and AUL bandwidth a fractional sensing channel is defined less than 20 MHz. Accordingly, a user equipment (UE) may use the fractional sensing channel to perform LBT only on the resources allocated for AUL. Contention window update may further be modified for transmissions spanning multiple transmission opportunities (TxOPs). A contention window update may occur over all transmission channels considering full acknowledgement information of each TxOP, a percentage of acknowledgement information weighted on the number of channels, a percentage of acknowledgement information weighted on the ratio of resources on each channel, or by selecting a primary channel of the multiple channels for the contention window update.

  • Patent number: 11652668
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may transmit to a user equipment (UE) over a control channel (e.g., a downlink control channel) and the UE may monitor for the control channel in a control resource set (CORSET). The control channel and the CORESET may be associated with a set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. The base station and the UE may identify an association between the resources of the CORESET and the set of TCI states based on a frequency division multiplexing (FDM) mapping between the resources of the CORESET and the set of TCI states. In some examples, the association may be a fixed rule at the UE. In other examples, the base station may signal the association to the UE via control signaling. The UE may decode the control channel based on the FDM mapping.

  • Patent number: 11653345
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for selecting a beam to be allocated for transmitting downlink (DL) data to user equipment (UE). In some implementations, a UE receives a reference signal on each of a number of beams associated with a base station, and determines a delay spread value for each beam. The UE identifies each beam for which the determined channel delay spread value is less than a threshold value, and determines a reference signal received power (RSRP) level for each identified beam. The UE transmits an indication of the determined RSRP levels of the identified beams to the base station, and receives, in response to the transmitted indication, a selection of the beam to be allocated for DL transmissions to the UE.

  • Publication number: 20230129556
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a network may schedule a user equipment (UE) for multiple transmission/reception point (TRP) communication. In a first example, the DCI message may include a bit field indicating a set of antenna ports and the multi-TRP scheme for transmission. In a second example, the DCI message may include a separate field indicating the multi-TRP scheme (e.g., based on UE capabilities). In a third example, the DCI may indicate redundancy versions (RVs) for different TRPs in an RV field or across multiple fields. In a fourth example, the DCI may include an indication of a precoding resource block group (PRG) size that may be interpreted differently based on the indicated multi-TRP scheme.

  • Patent number: 11637730
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to wireless communication networks having a capability of controlling the mapping of reference signals onto a carrier based on one or more Doppler parameters. A demodulation reference signal (DMRS) is mapped to a carrier according to a pattern based on one or more Doppler parameters, such as a Doppler frequency and/or a rate of change of channel conditions. In a further example, if an initial transmission of an information packet fails due to a high Doppler scenario, the probability of success of the retransmission may be improved by altering the DMRS configuration to account for the high Doppler scenario. Other aspects, examples, and features are also claimed and described.
