    Abstract: Discontinuous access to unlicensed spectrum is facilitated in a new radio access environment. According an embodiment, a system can comprise performing a scanning procedure that determines whether a first subband and a second subband is available for transmission. The system can further facilitate determining whether the first subband and the second subband are adjacent, wherein a first channel formed at the first subband comprising a first guard band and a second channel formed at the second subband comprising a second guard band that is adjacent to the first guard band. The system can further facilitate in response to determining that the first subband and the second subband are adjacent and available for transmission, eliminating the first guard band and the second guard band.

The report request is configured to instruct a user equipment device to include interference information when performing user equipment device beam management and reporting.     Abstract: The same or similar physical signals can be used for both user equipment (UE) and an integrated access backhaul (IAB) node. Different configurations of resources and/or transmission periods of the signals can be used for initial access for access UEs and IAB nodes. In addition, since the UE functionality for IAB nodes is not fully identical with access UEs, the network can identify which UEs performing initial access are normal access UEs or are IAB nodes with UE functionality. Furthermore, the parameters for configuring radio resource management operation at the IAB node gNode B function can consider a half-duplex constraint imposed by the UE function and can also analyze hop order and other topology/route management functionalities.

    Abstract: An integrated access and backhaul network is provided with network nodes that can establish timing synchronization with any other network nodes. In an embodiment, network nodes in a multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network have a hop order of n, wherein n represents a number of hops from a node connected to the core network via a wired connection. In an embodiment, instead of using the network node with a hop order of 0 as the timing synchronization reference for over-the-air synchronization, any network node can use any other network node as a synchronization reference. A relay node can first establish a wireless link to said arbitrary node. Said wireless link is then used to synchronize the relay or IAB node using a Precision Time Protocol (PTP) implementation.

    Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed towards a clear channel assessment procedure based on a common preamble, such as for use with 3GPP and IEEE 802.11 technologies, or any other radio technology, including for use in the 6 GHz band. Detection of the common preamble is based on detecting known sequences in signal part, which can be detected without decoding the preamble's payload (channel) part to determine an ongoing transmission's duration. If an ongoing transmission is detected, subsequent energy detection monitoring is performed to determine when transmission ends, which can use a different energy detection threshold from what is used in the initial clear channel assessment's energy detection. The technology facilitates the usage of different sampling rates by different radio technologies that work concurrently in the same unlicensed band, by correlating a received preamble with a stored preamble that accounts for deterministic distortions arising from the different sampling rates.

    Abstract: Sub bands can be scheduled with optimal modulation and coding scheme (MCS) when the user equipment reports the sub band channel quality indicator (CQI) and sub band pre-coding matrix index (PMI). The network can use multiple downlink control channels to indicate the sub band resources and the corresponding MCS for that resource allocation. By using multiple downlink control channels to indicate the sub band MCS, the network can use resources more efficiently.

    Abstract: A split radio access network is provided that efficiently transmits beamforming coefficients from a distributed baseband unit device to a remote radio unit device to facilitate beamforming at the remote radio unit. The beamforming coefficients can be determined at the baseband unit device and transmitted along with the data to be beamformed by the remote radio unit device. Due to the large number of antenna ports however, there can still be a very large number of coefficients to transmit, and the disclosure provides for a compressed set of coefficients that reduces the overhead signaling requirements. Instead of sending coefficients for every kth antenna port, the system can select a subset of the coefficients corresponding to a set of k antenna ports which can be used by the remote radio unit to approximate the full set of beamforming coefficients.

The network device can then decide how to proceed. Alternatively, the network device can change the transmission type based on a load threshold being determined to have been satisfied and the recommendation from the mobile device.

The network device can then send an indication of the selection to the user equipment device using an index number comprising six bits that correspond to an index number in a table of modulation schemes. The table of modulation schemes can include modulation schemes that use transform precoding, as well as modulation schemes that do not use transform precoding.

    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards adaptively changing which transmission scheme a user equipment is to use based on a Doppler metric (e.g. Doppler frequency) as evaluated against a threshold Doppler value. A network instructs a user equipment to use a Rank-1 precoder cycling transmission scheme if the Doppler metric of user equipment is above a threshold value, or to use a closed loop MIMO transmission scheme if the user equipment has a Doppler metric below the threshold value. The network can instruct the user equipment via a suitable message, or by switching off TPMI and notifying the user equipment thereof.

Depending on the number of layers of a data traffic transmission, the transmission can either comprise one codeword symbol or two codeword symbols. If there are two codeword symbols included in a data traffic transmission, the transmitter can indicate the modulation code scheme and other information for each codeword symbol in the first codeword symbol and second codeword symbol locations in the downlink control information data structure. If there is only one codeword symbol, however, the transmitter can provide a modulation code scheme and redundancy version that would not be self-decodable in the second codeword symbol setting location, indicating to the receiver that there is only one codeword symbol in the data traffic transmission.
