Publication number: 20190163818Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to automated ontology refinement based on query inputs and provided feedback. A query input is received for an ontology. Features of the query input are analyzed, wherein analyzation includes determining syntactical and semantic characteristics of the features of the query input. Based on the determined syntactical and semantic characteristics, ontological elements are classified for each feature of the query input. The ontological element for each feature of the query input is then compared to a set of ontological elements of the ontology. Based on the comparison, a response to the query input is received, along with a request for feedback regarding the response. Feedback is then received regarding the response. Based on the feedback, the ontology is analyzed to determine at least one deficiency of the ontology. The ontology is then refined to correct the at least one deficiency.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2017Publication date: May 30, 2019Inventors: Ashish R. Patent number: 9672310Abstract: In an embodiment, the amount of supply voltage guardband to prevent incorrect operation due to aging effects may be modeled using an IC-specific age model generated early in the product life cycle of the IC. For example, high temperature operating life (HTOL) testing may be performed at multiple temperatures and/or voltages to develop the IC-specific age model. The IC-specific age model may be more accurate then the calculations used to develop guardband voltage as discussed previously, which rely on the aging of a single transistor. The IC-specific age model may be used along with monitoring of the aging effects during operation of the IC to predict an amount of increased guardband voltage that is currently desirable to apply to the IC. The predicted amount may vary from about zero when the IC is new to the full amount of guardband voltage when the IC is nearing end of life.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2015Date of Patent: June 6, 2017Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Antonietta Oliva, John G. Patent number: 9483540Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for data replication. The mechanism divides a set of data to be replicated into a plurality of slices. Each slice of the plurality of slices is to be copied from a primary site to a master secondary site within a plurality of secondary sites. The plurality of secondary sites comprises the master secondary site and at least one subsidiary peer site. The mechanism copies the plurality of slices from the primary site to the plurality of secondary sites such that the master secondary site stores a first slice of the set of data and each of the at least one subsidiary peer site stores a corresponding slice of the set of data. Responsive to completion of copying the plurality of slices to the plurality of secondary sites, for each of the at least one subsidiary peer site, the mechanism initiates copying of the corresponding slice of the set of data to the master secondary site.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2015Date of Patent: November 1, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Shrikant V.
