  • Patent number: 11270309
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying a user to a merchant are described. A token service provider facilitates the identification of the user. Identifying the user at the merchant is accomplished by the user broadcasting a token associated with the user or by the merchant capturing a biometric of the user. The token or biometric is sent to the token service provider computing system. The token service provider computing system identifies the user based on the token or biometric. The token service provider computing system may send user information associated with the token and the user to the merchant computing system.

  • Patent number: 11269045
Abstract: The invention relates to adjusting at least one of installed building service sensors (10) of a building service system. A sensor coverage area of at least one sensor (10) is adjusted based on information on a position of the installed sensor (10) relative to at least one other sensor (10). For example, to determine the position of the sensor (10) relative to said at least one other sensor (10), each sensor (10) establishes a wireless communication between said sensor (10) and at least one other sensor (10) via a wireless communication means (34) of the sensor (10). For example, information on the positions of the installed sensors (10) is used to assign to each sensor (10) at least one of installed building service supply devices (12) of the system.

  • Publication number: 20220067104
Abstract: Providing a search interface for a database includes receiving string data entered via a user interface. A sequence of tokens representative of the string data is determined. Determining the sequence of tokens includes applying natural language processing to the string data. A first database query is generated in accordance with the sequence of tokens. Respective text representations for tokens in the sequence of tokens are presented via the user interface. Feedback data related to the sequence of tokens is received via the user interface. A token of the sequence of tokens is modified based on the feedback data to obtain a modified sequence of tokens. A second database query is generated based on the modified sequence of tokens. Results data are obtained from the database responsive to execution of the second database query by the database. Data based on the results data are output for presentation in the user interface.

  • Publication number: 20220067508
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for achieving higher cache hit rates for machine learning models are disclosed. When a processor executes a given layer of a machine learning model, the processor generates and stores activation data in a cache subsystem a forward or reverse manner. Typically, the entirety of the activation data does not fit in the cache subsystem. The processor records the order in which activation data is generated for the given layer. Next, when the processor initiates execution of a subsequent layer of the machine learning model, the processor processes the previous layer's activation data in a reverse order from how the activation data was generated. In this way, the processor alternates how the layers of the machine learning model process data by either starting from the front end or starting from the back end of the array.

  • Publication number: 20220070173
Abstract: A method of dynamically adjusting access privileges of system identities. A set of access logs associated with a system are analyzed in order to generate a restricted access policy for an over privileged system identity. An initial access policy of the system identity is replaced with the restricted access policy and a continuous monitoring and access management (CMAM) service is initiated. Access logs are collected for a monitoring time window and an access denied error can be extracted from the access logs. The access denied error can be compared to an ignore list and/or the access denied error can be added to the ignore list. Authorization checks can be performed to determine if the action associated with the access denied error is authorized. If the action is authorized, the access policy is adjusted to allow for performance of the action.

  • Publication number: 20220067607
Abstract: Disclosed herein are various embodiments for a cloud resources allocation system. An embodiment operates by determining that an application requests a plurality of instances to execute across one or more processors of a cloud services platform. One or more spare instances are requested to fulfill at least a portion of the plurality of instances, and an allocation of at least a subset of the requested one or more spare instances is received. An execution of the application is directed to the allocated subset of the one or more spare instances, including a first spare instance. A notification is received from the cloud services platform that the first spare instance is to be reallocated to a different process. A subsequent execution of the application is redirected to an on demand instance of the cloud services platform.

  • Patent number: 11263545
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to generating control inputs for a cyber-physical system. A prediction concerning a phenomenon can be generated, utilizing a classifier, based on sensor data acquired by a sensor. The prediction can include a probability distribution over a set of possible values of the phenomenon, where the phenomenon pertains to the cyber-physical system or an environment in which the cyber-physical system operates. Control inputs for the cyber-physical system that satisfy constraints that maintain safe operation of the cyber-physical system in the environment can be synthesized. The constraints can be based on the prediction that includes the probability distribution over the set of possible values of the phenomenon. Further, the cyber-physical system can be caused to operate in the environment based on the control inputs.

  • Publication number: 20220060553
Abstract: A switching device is enabled to automatically perform one or more actions based on one or more notifications received thereby. A notification may be received by a device communicatively coupled to the switching device, or alternatively, may be internally-generated. Upon receiving the notification, the switching device utilizes a notification-to-action mapping to determine which action(s) are to be performed based on the notification received. The action(s) include automatically switching the switching device to a device coupled to a port thereof and/or automatically launching an application executing on that device in order to view the notification and/or content associated with the notification. In other example, the action(s) may include sending the notification to another device, such as a user's mobile phone and/or causing an application executing on the mobile phone to be launched in order to view the notification and/or content associated with the notification.

  • Publication number: 20220060330
Abstract: Mechanisms to customize forms in a distributed ledger trust network (“DLTN”) are described. A given user can specify metadata that defines a form to be completed by other users, where the metadata that defines the form is stored in a blockchain. The given user can set permissions for the form, so as to control access to the form, and assign the form to other users for completion. After another user has submitted an instance of a form (including data entered by the other user) to the blockchain, the given user can review and approve the instance of the form, or request a correction to the form by the other user. The blockchain can store a record of the form, instances of the form that include data provided by other users at different stages, and information about the status of those instances of the form (e.g., approved, correction requested, rejected).

  • Publication number: 20220057641
Abstract: Consistent with the present disclosure, an output of a seed laser is split by a series of first coupler stages and each split portion is provided to a respective laser in an array of secondary lasers to realized injection locking of the laser array. Undesired light output from the secondary laser array back to the seed laser is monitored and the phase of such light is adjusted so that such light is subject to destructive interference and its power is minimized. Accordingly, light output from the secondary laser array back to the seed laser does not degrade the performance of the seed laser. On the other hand, light intended for output from the secondary laser array is combined through a second series of coupler stages and monitored at each stage. The phase of the output of each laser in the array is controlled to equal or be aligned with one another such that laser array outputs constructively interfere with one another. As a result, the combined output power is maximized.

  • Publication number: 20220059698
Abstract: Examples of the present technology include processing methods to incorporate stress in a channel region of a semiconductor transistor. The methods may include depositing a stressed material on an adjacent layer, where the adjacent layer is disposed between the stressed material and semiconductor material having an incorporated dopant. The adjacent layer may be characterized by an increased stress level after the deposition of the stressed material. The method may further include heating the stressed material and the adjacent layer, and removing the stressed material from the adjacent layer. The adjacent layer retains at least a portion of the increased stress after the removal of the stressed material. Examples of the present technology also include semiconductor structures having a conductive layer with first stress, and an intermediate layer with second stress in contact with the conductive layer. The second tensile stress may be at least ten times the first tensile stress.

  • Patent number: 11253314
Abstract: The disclosure describes devices, systems, and techniques for identifying and treating bladder dysfunction. In one example, a method includes identifying one or more focal points at respective locations of bladder tissue of a bladder of a patient, the one or more focal points initiating coordinated contractions of a detrusor muscle. The method may also, or alternatively, include ablating, for each of the one or more focal points, a respective portion of the bladder tissue at the respective location of the focal point. Ablation of these targeted portions of the bladder tissue may reduce the coordinated contractions of the detrusor muscle and alleviate overactive bladder symptoms.
